Jun 30, 2014 1:14 PM EDT
LeBron James is seeking a maximum salary and initial meetings with teams will be held by his agent Rich Paul. Sam Amick of USA Today first reported news of Paul handling the meetings on Sunday.
In 2010, James scheduled six meetings with teams at his offices in Cleveland over the first three days of July.
James' max salary is projected to start at $22.2 million for 14-15.
James' demands for contract length are in flux and he has previously indicated that flexibility is important to him.
From the real gm
It means he wants Bosh and Wade to take less, that is if he wants the max and more help. I know LeBron has never been the highest paid player on his team which is admirable, but I don't know if that will matter to them.
He is one of the few players in the league that deserves it.
I think he got pissed when he took less money and the Heat owner still made moves that favored being cheap instead of upgrading talent. Why should he sacrifice money if the owner is unwilling to do the same.

Agreed. The Heat went of their way to avoid paying the luxury tax and their bench suffered because of it. It's easy for Pat Riley to talk about making sacrafices, but it's rough for the players to buy in when the owner doesn't follow suit.
