I'm sure when the report came out quite a while ago that Cuban wanted Tyson back we all were pretty sure it would happen, i know i was.

Wow! Step away from the keyboard! and don't post stupid things again. Once a rookie always a rookie.

I find this rude and insulting.

Sorry but it was a knee jerk reaction to one of the most ridiculous posts i have ever seen. If the Knicks did what you suggested it would have set the franchise back 5 years at least. Totally makes NO sense what so ever.

Loosing Hardaway Jr and a 2018 1rd. pick sets the franchise back 5 years? Now that is a reach. Do you really think Phil is above selling Melo on what we can do to win now? Look at the thread title next time before you stick your foot in your mouth.

Look Rook I was trying to be nice to you. Trading Hardaway and a 1st rnd pick for no reason??? And I put my foot in my mouth. Why don't u stop talking out of ur azz?, learn some basketball knowledge before u post dumb things. Or get a thicker skin. Everyone that replied to ur post had the same reaction---either "huh??? or whats he talking about???" Rookies should be seen and not heard

hahaha, sorry, didn't mean to suggest you should sell your Hardaway or Stat fanboy jersey's just yet. But if a team w/cap room calls and says 'hey, I think this player would fit what you are doing there. We can eat Stat's salary, just give us the rook Hardaway.' Then Phil hangs up and calls Utah 'Hey, what will it cost to take Bargs off our hands?' All of a sudden. we've added another starter and have cap room to add another key player.

Ahhh but I forgot, you are in the room w/Phil and already know what's in his head. 'Hey Melo, we won't win today, but tomorrow will be better days man...come ride with me man.

Why would we give away our rooks? Why can't Stat and Bargs come off the books after next season? You still have not explained why in the world any sane bball person would do this.

What worries me about the triangle is that every team will be prepared for it.

Worry that the knicks will be prpared.

You just have to take what the defense gives you. The zen of it is you control your own flow.

Teams will prepare, the answer lies within.

I was responding to the opening post. If we do a S&T for Monroe, we will have to give something up. The OP mentions young assets. The OP also mentions Gasol. We would need to clear cap to sign Gasol. There are teams out there that will eat a salary, but again it will cost us an asset. If you want to add Monroe and Gasol, it will likely cost us Hardaway and a 1st. We would also be able to use the full MLE on another player.

Gasol is not worth giving up any #1's or THJ. Monroe certainly has some/more worth.

on the pitching front, it's comforting to see that jackson has no interest in bringing in carlos boozer. that's a good non-move for a franchise whose prime directive is culture change. boozer would be a bad apple that is for sure.

so you think the knicks will agree to taking on boozer to help facilitate a deal that sends anthony to the bulls?

It all depends on the picks. Phil wants the bulls to know that we don't want boozer and if you want us to take him then you better make it worthwhile.

But if the package is right of course he will take boozer back for his final year since its a rebuilding (hopefully!!) year anyway.
