I hated the 2010 plan and it didn't help that everyone that did business with Walsh knew what his endgame goal was. As stated yesterday when discussing the possible outcomes in the Melo situation, Phil has options no matter what happens. Walsh had no options if he didn't get LBJ. Look how things worked out. In regards to not needing draft picks because you are anticipating signing top tier players it is a pretty poor approach to business don't you think? 1) Melo forced Phil
2) Dolan forced Phil

Usually we hear stories at this point about Dolan interfering, but there hasn't been a peep about Dolan since the medical staff controversy. If Dolan really was calling the shots I believe someone would have leaked it by now.

but melo has already agreed to not take the max to become a knick! that's what phil jackson has been saying about his talks with melo for months. "no courting no wooing." "you want to be a knick then don't ask for the max because you won't get it."

I haven't heard Jax once say, "you want to be a knick then don't ask for the max because you won't get it." I try to stay pretty up on things and would appreciate a link to a statement that you say Jax has been saying for months. What I have heard is that Jax has told Melo he would give him the max if that is what it takes. That has been out there in the media. However, I haven't heard Jax say it himself. It should be interesting. Management is meeting with Melo after the Lakers.
What's the best scenario for Lin at this point. What would make the most perfect sense for him? I don't see any good things coming out of Lin/Rockets relationship from this point forward. His teammates are not on the same page as him. Fans are throwing him under the bus. Front office dissed him.
The only move that would make sense for me is to bring him back to New York and just let the kid play. Enough with all of the distractions. Let the kid play.

I think Calderon/Larkin/Prigs are running the point for the Knicks. It sounds like Morey could move Lin, probably with some sort of compensation (i.e. draft picks) to the Sixers if he needed to. He may end up back in Houston if Morey and the Rockets don't need the cap space to make a move allowing them to save whatever they were giving the sixers to take on Lin's deal.

We disagree about the 2010 plan. That was all Walsh. In regards to cutting the crap abut everyone knowing Walsh desperately wanted to clear cap space can you think of another cap clearing trade in preparation for the summer of LBJ where a team got fleeced as badly as the Knicks in the McGrady trade. One other thing, if Walsh was following a transparent mandate from ownership and not the plan he proposed when hired why was he only allowed to come back if he took a significant pay cut?

I hope someone gives Pasons a fat payday, and he loses out on melo, and Parson or any FA for the matter, then force to trade lin, and and get stuck with just beverly, who he'll trade next off season.
