If Melo stays or goes

Off the top of my head....not including Pau.

If we have Melo and the MLE I'd probably look for an athletic/SF that can either play next to Melo or behind him (I'm not counting on C-Early having a big impact this year.

Maybe guys like PJ Tucker/M-Williams/Trevor Booker

We need a PG and hourly an SG so we can dump JR somewhere deep and dark.

I mentioned to say me and trade exemption....sure type hates me

I think the Knicks need front court help. Kris humphries might be very good value for the mmle. Lavoy Allen owns Tyson and always seems to play well with minutes. I think Phil will probably move a sg soon.

Unfortnetly JR isnt going anywhere. This is why you cant give JR a multi year deal. However after he won the 6th man of the year 95% of fans were fine with giving him 3 or 4 years but i knew it was a bad idea
newyorknewyork @ 7/5/2014 6:37 AM
Is there any euro's dangling around that we could pry away? Like we did with Mozgov?

How is it a known bad idea already???

Jr isn't going anywhere because Phil isn't trying to move him, his post all star numbers where around his 6th man year. You guys emotions cloud your judgement too much, Jr when got health was balling last year.

I think he should go join Marbury in the Chinese basketball association. How cool would that be?

Think thats a bit harsh. JR has given us plenty of reasons to calmly say that that while Smith has skills, his history with the team has shown that he cant be relied on. Kind of like Charlie Brown and the football. Most of us want more than half of a good season from JR. We want to see him ball from start to finish. He has yet to do anything in the playoffs as a Knick.

CrushAlot @ 7/5/2014 12:51 PM
Pacers resigned Lavoy Allen.

I think it's too harsh. I know he is inconstant and wanting more from all season is fair too, but he is still better than any of the replacements on the team. So why dump him, because of idealism over what this player should or shouldn't be.

Jr is better than Shump offensively and a push versus Thjr
Jr is superior defensively to Thjr(more of a comment on how bad Thjr was) and inferior to Shump
Jr is superior to both of them when it comes to ball skills and creating with the ball.

I don't anything about ellington, but even with Jr's flaws, he still thee best two guard the team has....hopes and dreams notwithstanding.

meloshouldgo @ 7/5/2014 12:56 PM
We don't have a starting quality two guard. But we have a glut of bench guys at the position. So is logical you dump the one that makes the most money out of those to try and get a starter instead. We need an upgrade on JR comparing him to Shumpert and THJR is pointless and somewhat disingenuous.
smackeddog @ 7/5/2014 1:06 PM
I wouldn't necessarily spend it- remember we need cap space next offseason. If we could get a bargain with it, then yes (as we'd still need to fill the roster out in 2015), but I wouldn't spend it just for the sake of spending it.

Kris Humphries just looks annoying- I know we need rebounding, but couldn't we get it with a less annoying face?!

I think we'll move Wayne Ellington- notice there have been zero interviews or mentions of him since the trade. Maybe JR too. I haven't warmed to Tim Jr as much as others, so I wouldn't be upset to see him go.

We are interested in Trevor Booker (I think I read a NYPost article mentioning him). We need defense at the SF, PF and C, so I'd be interested whoever can help us out with that.
