He's highly regarded but his description makes him sound like Bargs: The Next Generation!

No one's ever questioned Mirotic's toughness or fitness. This guy will blow Bargnani out of the water.

Is he a center or pf?

He's a PF. Actually he sounds like a Gallo type of player to me.

Melo might prove me wrong after all. This might be the first time he has not gone for full money. Funny that he would do this for a another team and not for his "home" team. This might be spiteful but I would not trade him to Chi. The Bulls assets are crap. Snell is a bum. The guy they drafted this year I don't care for him. The draft picks are basically high second rounders. If Melo is going to F us then we are going to F him. He F'd us by not signing as a free agent. We will F him by making him have to take a huge discount in Chi. We all know how much Melo loves his money. I just remembeed the few years CAA took over the Knicks organization. If he wants to leave us now he would get no help from me. Remember trading him to Chi will also make the Bulls able to use MLE on Gasol. Butler is also going to be up for a contract like shump soon. This might be rambling but I am a little angry if this is how it plays out.

The more I think about it melo would be a fool to go to chitown I think he stays in NYC ... But if he leaves it might be the best thing for the Knicks ... Phil will demand 2 1st round , euro, mcd, boozer,or no deal. The ball is in our Court to make this deal work .. Otherwise find someone else to make room for melo... Chi town needs us if they want melo.. Again euro,mcd,boozer,2 1st or no deal and good luck clearing space to sign melo out right.

There will be no sign and trade With the bulls.

Is Chris Bosh a C or PF? I think in today's world, that distinction means less and less.

True

I was just thinking the Bulls have little leverage in this situation now. The Lakers and Rockets are no longer in the equation. The only option for melo is the Bulls and to have him get a respectable contract they have to trade Taj. The moment you show Melo or the Bulls you are open to trading the moment you lose leverage. If the money is equal no one would pick the Knicks over the Bulls. Our only leverage is in not trading.

Agreed. At this point id rather get some good young assets/picks rather than paying 129 million(which we know melo wants)

if carmelo anthony had any leverage with the knicks it's all but evaporated now.

Yes it's either melo clogging up our cap for 5 years or getting young players cap flexibility and maybe one loosing season which we already felt with last year... I'd say lets trade melo cause we won't win one here with him taking the 129

why would he need leverage with the knicks?

I have always said that Melo should go to Chicago but with Lebron it cleveland that may be a very dumb move.

Lebron is just going to have more chances to embarrass him.

That new, impending TV deal will raise the cap substantially; I hear to as much as ~$75 million. So, Melo getting $129 might not hurt us as bad as we expect. Even so, I wouldn't want him at that price as a Knick fan. The dude will breakdown pretty soon and could emerge as our new Amare. Can you imagine a 35 year old Melo making ~$30 million? Gross.
