...I think he's tainted goods but we suck so bad that he'd help. With LeBron out of the way with so many teams stuck with cap space, we might finally be able to dump Amare and Bargnani.
To be frank, I'd much rather pursue Kobe Bryant who might be in play if Pau Gasol does in fact leave LAL.

hellz naw. that's like trading some bad goods for others. besides how would they even trade him to us... bosh is not signing with us and amare for wade straight up is possible but not amare and bargnani both gone for him. they dont have anyone to trade for bargs.
No. First wade is probably stayin in miami. Secondly paying him a lot of money when he is already broken down is dumb.

The Heat won't take on our garbage for Wade. The idea would be to dump them on another team to clear $10-$15 million for Wade.

You do realize that you're a fan of the Knicks...the team that gave up LaMarcus Aldridge and Joakim Noah for Eddy Curry...the team that traded away Mark Jackson for nothing....the team that created cap space to sign Amare Stoudemire. How would this break from our modus operandi? LOL.

You're Right. But now Phil Jackson is running the show and i doubt he is as dumb as dolan/thomas/layden
Dude!! Wade? He can barely walk! Was Amare not enough of a lesson?

Two words: JR. Smith.
Need I say more?

You have so many wild trade scenarios but you are not seeing that Phil wants culture change not insane archaic knick type moves.
So basically, what Daniel Bryan is saying: Just because we f'ed up in the past, we should f' up some more just to add to our clusterf' of f' ups? NO! NO! NO!
It's better to suck bad this year anyway. We need the early draft pick.

If Melo stays then we win 40-45 games.

As proven last season, that is not a given.

...we won 37 games last year. Was his range really that far off base?

Really? Is that why we traded for Jose Calderon, in hopes of netting a star, Pau Gasol, for $3 million per year, to then have him recruit his brother, Marc Gasol? Seems like the same shit but with new flavor. Wade's a shadow of his former self but he can give you 60-ish games as one of the best players in the league. Aside from Melo, that is head and shoulders above anyone else we currently have on this roster.

id rather have 1 rough year get a top 5 pick and have plenty of cap space next year along with talented youth

No ... but you can't get much worse than the sh1t we had to deal with last year.
Woodson
Felton [shudder]
etc ...
there is now accountability and power in the coaches hand.

ridding ourselves of cancerous cells is the first step towards culture change. Nobody was just gonna take felton.
1) I didn't say his range was far off base.
2) Yes, it was off base.
3) Winning 40-45 games sucks in the NBA. That is being average. Yes that gives you a decent playoff spot but it also gives you a second round exit and IMO, that sucks. We need to build toward the future. We aren't going anywhere this season. Just suck it up and accept being bad for one season. We have an actual draft pick this coming season. Use it.
