He just gave away a stack of money. Miami will probably low ball him now and no one else seems to be interested. Is he looking to take a pay cut and go for another ring with the lovers of the lebron/Melo lottery?
He probably thought that LeBron was re-signing. In any case, this might still be a HUGE advantage for him. The Heat are desperate enough where they may throw a longer termed contract at him, which he clearly wouldn't have gotten had LeBron stayed. Considering how shoddy Wade's health has been, any kind of long term security would be worth the loss of a guaranteed $20 million per. I fully expect him to break down next season and morph in Tracy McGrady 2.0
