Someone wrote today that he had barely been around the kNICKS training facility

It was an extended hand from Phil. Don't know if Lamar was just washed up or didn't do what he was supposed to do. Seems like he simply hasn't overcome his demons. If he was in great shape and ready to give it a try i'm sure he wouldn't have been waived so soon.

For the best...what did this guy have left? The roster spot needs to go to a better option. Not sure why they even signed him...phil just trying to throw him a bone, maybe one last salary in a time of need? Who knows -- definitely a troubled dude. Hope he finds peace.

That's was a non guranteed contract wasted. He must've did something wrong.

He failed to show up to train in NY as agreed, then he failed to bother working out in LA where they let him stay. If you'd seen the recent photo's, he is looking quite tubby and clearly hasn't done any basketball activities.

People can overcome crack addictions etc, but I think it's asking too much to expect them to overcome crack addictions AND get in tip top basketball playing shape, especially at the age of 34.
