My expectations of Amare on that end are not going to be that high, but overall our team defense should do a better job of hiding him. If he's playing next to Sam Dalembert or Cole Aldrich protecting the rim he will do just fine.

And where not switching and watch while he ends up guarding a damn PG or SG

Well if everyone knows one thing about Amare it's that he'll work his ass off in the offseason to get ready for the season just like the work he put in with Hakeem and it helped his post game tremendously so i believe he'll put the work in to get better at whatever Phil and Fish ask him to get better at.

Yes he's not gonna be a problem in terms of doing everything he can to learn the system and execute what they show him. Whether he can mentally grasp it all and put it into practice is a question but he'll work hard to try and do it. He's not a problem in that regard. Gotta give him a chance to show what he can do in this system.

After watching the video breakdown of how the triangle works, Stat looks like a natural Center in the system. He has the mid range game and all the curls/PNR are perfect for him. Having the post up game as a last resort is a total bonus. The defense also looks like it provides a lot of help and he should be able to block a lot of shots as the help defender. This could actually work with Stat.
