His weakness on defense glaring in the video. The boy needs to get stronger and work on his lateral quickness. If he can take his shooting to another level it will offset his defensive weaknesses. If he starts consistently shooting over 40% from three and improve his TS% the guy could be a quality player. His rebounding and passing would also have to improve too.
i never thought there could be a game with worse defense than the all star game, but this rising stars challenge game was WORSE. no stats or performance should be taken seriously from that game.
can he shoot? yes...does he have potential? yes...but dude needs to work on his handle, defense and all around game. should we hold on to him...yes for now but hes not a def keeper
That was quite a show. I'm curious to see where THjr's game has improved. He's a great athlete and quick on offense, but as 90 pointed out he doesn't show that quickness laterally on d.
Dion Waiters looks good in this video as well and he's been pretty terrible his first two seasons.

Looked up his stats from last year. He would be the second best player on the Knicks behind only Melo. If that's "pretty terrible" then you can see how little help Melo had last year.

I really like Waiters, its just a bad situation for him in Cleveland. Maybe Lebron makes it work a little better

I agree, they did add him to the K, love offer, so clearly we can lose him for the right trade

I like Waiters. I keep hoping somehow he ends up a Knick. He has a ton of talent.
Looking at this highlight makes me wonder should we have tried to hold on to Lee and Nate

Yep, that Melo, masterminding the Stat and Bargs signings. What a greedy, franchise-ruining tool. And we both must surely realize that Waiters (or anyone else) would have been utterly useless on this team behind Melo.
Waiting for the shredding of this thread due to "best player" and "Melo" being used in the same sentence.
Of course, being best on a 37 win, non-playoff team will also obviously garner some rapt attention as well.
I'm liking this off-season hater-baiting thing, Nalod.

Didn't Waiters go to the "Cuse"? Didn't Melo go there too?
Can we be Haters on Waiters before he even Caters to a knick Crater?
