Kevin Durant could become the highest paid endorser in the NBA if he signs a deal with Under Armour worth approximately $30 million per year.Durant's deal could be worth as much as $325 million over 10 years and include a financial stake in the company.
Durant has been with Nike since coming into the NBA.
How is Kevin Durant able to accomplish this in a small market?

Completely agree. Only the best players in the league can do it in a small market. Durant is the consensus 2nd best player in the league.
wow. This is equivalent to signing a 31 y/o baseball player to a 10 year contract. This is going to be a bad deal for UA in about 5-6 years.
Good for him though

A player like Durant is beyond 'small market' when it comes to marketing.
He is globally recognized & considered in of the 2 best players in the NBA.
He'll just be in every ones face all the time trying to sell shit to earn that money.
That is why most of these guys just annoy me.

He's one of the faces of the NBA, and small market really doesnt matter, certainly not after folks saw Durant in the NBA finals, every kid and teen on the face of the globe knows who Kevin Durant is. Also being the 2nd best player and could be first real soon also helps.
This deal reminds me of when Nike signing MJ, folks wondered what where they doing as well.
