Wrapped up that 1st quarter with Jason Smith, STAT, Melo, JR and Larkin --- that has a chance to be a very good lineup. Everyone can score the ball, shot-blocking, enough rebounding, quick enough backcourt...I like that unit.

Smith is who I like as the starting 4. He has the length and size to make entry passes to the post and also the size, strength, and skill to post up plus he has an okay jumper.

He looks real good in every facet.

Finestrg @ 10/14/2014 7:48 PM
Easily the best STAT's looked so far this pre-season.
Finestrg @ 10/14/2014 7:52 PM
Great look by STAT to Wear--kid couldn't put it down
Finestrg @ 10/14/2014 7:56 PM
Funny, Calderon back in and Sammy comes back in for Amar'e...Wonder why Fish isn't trying STAT with Calderon

I haven't been to Syracuse in nearly 20 years. Hope all you UK Folk are having fun up there.

It's gonna be real interesting to see how Fish handles this rotation. He has some good options developing.

Great ball n player movement on the 1st play of the 2nd half

Shump feeling spry! Good to see him rejuvenated and confident again.
Splat @ 10/14/2014 8:44 PM
Maybe Shump will get a little more support after this game.

The comments on the broadcast are actually very important. He had to grow up. He was a sour puss, but here he is showing he is getting the message about how lucky he is. It is a good thing he is getting his head straight, because the play of guys like Shumpert are deeply affected by mindset.

A focused and positive Shumpert will mean a lot to this club.

Splat @ 10/14/2014 8:46 PM
Woo hoo! Sam and Shump are vibing each other!

Man Tyson would NEVER throw such a pretty pass. Who knew Sam was able to do that? I SEE TRIANGLES!!!

Yeah it makes me wonder why some thought we'd be worse than this team.

Splat @ 10/14/2014 8:56 PM
I think it is already evident why Phil picked up Jason Smith. The ball does not stick to him, he sees the floor and dishes way better than I ever hoped he would.

I notic do that last night. They seem to be good friends laughing it up on the bench. This is a beautiful thing to watch

nixluva @ 10/14/2014 8:58 PM
Jason showing out with the passes and swishes!!!
Splat @ 10/14/2014 9:01 PM
I already feel much better about the middle with Sam and Jason than with Tyson. So many more dimensions to their game as a whole. They make a good twin tower combo too.
Sangfroid @ 10/14/2014 9:04 PM
New entry for the Clyde lexicon. "Divin' and strivin".
Splat @ 10/14/2014 9:07 PM
Still so many issues with Larkin, he still picks up dribble early for instance, but he is calming down a bit. There is a reason they're giving him time and I'm pretty sure the commitment to Larkin will continue if he keeps improving by small degrees.
