Knicks · Bledsoe offered max by t wolves (page 1)

EnySpree @ 9/19/2014 4:55 PM
What does that mean? Now they really need a trade. That's if the suns don't match of course.
BigDaddyG @ 9/19/2014 5:25 PM
Not sure what it means. Is Rubio gone next season? Are they going to keep Rubio and Bledsoe and trade Lavine? Is David Kahn back with the Wolves as a consultant?
SupremeCommander @ 9/19/2014 5:50 PM
either way a small market team is going to overpay and there might be a decent trade opportunity.
EnySpree @ 9/19/2014 7:05 PM
They can't want Bledsoe to play with Rubio. Kevin Martin is still a good player. Lavine is a big talent too. It made sense to let Rubio facilitate this team and really get the best of of them. Now they over pay Bledsoe when they gave so much young talent. It's a bad move for them at first glance.

I would love to get my hands on Rubio. Kid can't shoot but neither can rondo and everyone seems to want him. Phil needs to call them and see what he can steal from them.

Sign and trade sending Rubio to the suns.

Suns would still have 3 stellar point guards in dragic, isaiah Thomas and rubio. Makes no sense. The suns never make sense though. They have a history of stockpiling and trsding good point guard for no reason.

F500ONE @ 9/19/2014 7:57 PM
So that's 4yrs $64mil

I doubt Rubio gets traded

Suns still have Dragic, Thomas, and Tyler Innis

It'll probably be picks and prospects

Chase/Shabzz, 2 1st round picks

What it really means

1 less FA on next yrs grab

CrushAlot @ 9/19/2014 8:00 PM

Do they have the cap room to sign him outright to a deal like that?
EnySpree @ 9/19/2014 8:06 PM
It's baffling to me. They were doing well workout this. Now they bring in this guy to disrupt the team. If they don't trade now they will eventually have to make a move. Guys are going to be unhappy

Dwyer had conflicting tweets in his column including this:

Not really sure what to think. The guy that tweeted the stuff on Rubio was given this description:
the voice to listen to On All Things Minnesota-y and Timberwolves-y, Associated Press reporter Jon Krawczynski, dropped this after the similarly plugged-in Windhorst’s report:

It also means

It doesn't take long to rebuild

Minny managed to land a up and coming marquee talent

While being in a small market

They can still offer Max

Suns have to agree to a S&T

The report is believable

The Suns agreeing may not be

IronWillGiroud @ 9/20/2014 5:15 AM
Rubio was hot balls at one point,

Bledsoe hot balls today,

Minty still over stacked too much going on will have trouble meshing the gears

Everything I've been reading is saying Minny doesn't have the cap space to max out Bledsoe. Would have to be a S&T and PHX isn't interested in anything the Wolves are offering. Sounds like a lot of noise.

Looks like the Suns aren't interested in Rubio (he makes no sense for them). Daft of the Twolves to let this story out when they're in the middle of negotiations with Rubio. Now he'll point to the rumours to justify his demands for a max contract.

Maybe they don't anticipate keeping Goran Dragic. I'm also certain that he'll be demanding a max contract in 2015 and it will be extremely risky to oblige him, especially as a 30 year old. I'm skeptical that he'd be able to keep up the level of play from last season. I'd still want him to be a Knick though albeit at a reasonable price. He's nearly Stephen Curry 2.0 if he keeps up his current pace.

CrushAlot @ 9/21/2014 12:10 AM
Sounds like it isn't happening. http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2014/9...
