Will not copy and past whole Q & A
It's a great read
I really liked the quote
From the Nail to War was Lost
Never heard that one before
There were others
What he says about Kerr, Melo, Kobe
Excellent insights here
Some I find he's straight shooting
Others I find tip-toeing trepidations
The best was what he said about JR
Q: How do you plan to try to get through to J.R. Smith to put an end to all his immature on- and off-the-court antics?
A: I don’t know if that’s possible or not. He might be one of those guys that’s a little bit like Dennis Rodman that has an outlier kind of side to him. But I’m gonna get to know him as we go along, and we’ll find a way to either make him a very useful player on our organization, or whatever.
Love the interview, good questions too..finally a realistic plan, a step by step plan, a culture of some sorts, a page where everyone is on, a system that benefits everyone, a star player thats buying in, role players that will know their role, a teacher who will maximize a players skill set,and not asking him to go outside that skill set. Most important, a philosophy that's predicated on unselfish team ball...
I'm telling you my UK fam, were headed for a very nice encouraging season.
Very insightful, especially considering the fact that it came from the past.
That was a very nice read. Phil is a real different guy. I like the confidence and conviction he operates with. IMO this franchise is in good hands because he lives and breaths basketball. He's not just out there winging it. He has a plan and a philosophy guiding his actions.
