I'm a Melo supporter. But I support the Knicks first statement made like this doesn't do the team any good. As a guy who supports his talent it annoys me to see a player basically hurt his own talent level this has an affect on the team. Aren't we as fans concerned about the Knicks as a team.
Let me just STFU let's hope Melo can do the same.

I did kind of wince when I first read his comments, as I've never been a fan of players telling the rest of their team that they're above them (see Hardens comments a few weeks ago), but I think I don't get too wound up about what he says because I've learned to accept Melo just isn't a leader- he isn't going to say anything profound, or wise or anything that motivates his team. Some good players just don't have leadership abilities, there's no shame in that. It means from time to time he'll say and do stuff that will irritate, not out of malice or anything, just because he doesn't always think about the impact that stuff might have on his teammates.
