I believe the Knicks have 15 guaranteed deals but there are some vet guys that might get cut that might be worth a look. Just reading a few things tonight and saw Chris Singleton, Ivan Johnson and Charlie Villaneuva all are guys that are on just summer/training camp deals. I only looked at articles about the mavs and wizards but it seems like it might be a smart move to free up a roster space or two. I think the three guys the knicks have on training camp deals will be w-knicks and will be protected from d-league draft. Wear might make the team if the Knicks make a move.
Wear has been my target to keep
Like what I saw in SL right away

I agree. I am not sure who the Knicks waive/trade though. I think Outlaw could play an important role on the Knicks this year. Pablo was Grunfeld's guy. He is very solid but I wonder if Phil moves him.

Wear would be nice to keep, but I would be happy if the Knicks picked up Ivan. We need someone who'll knock someone on their ass if they try to play Memo to aggressively.

No way
Anthony moving to SF
Cleanthony needs to prove if
Phil's pick sticks and we need lively
Youthful bodies developing ASAP in this offense
Clea looks like he may
Get after it defensively too
SF position is locked up
Cut as many vets as possible is what I say

I agree. I also think they could make Wear a W-Knick and then bring him up after the trade deadline with Thanasis. I think Amare is a Sixer at the deadline. I think one of Iman, Bargs, Larkin, or Pablo is moved at the deadline as well.

I have read/heard really good things about Outlaw in Sac. What I heard was that he is a very professional guy that is ready when you need him and a good locker room guy. I want Early to be in the rotation but I think Outlaw could have a role with the Knicks.
Nothing has changed from my end Crush
Some of the guys mentioned will be coming back from China soon. I wonder if the Knicks look at bringing in a Crawford or Singleton.

Phil will probably bring in guys who are not on our radar to fill out the roster.
While Singleton and Crawford have not shown the ability to be quality players those are the type of vets you take a flyer on. More so with Singleton.
A guy I like, who had a try out with the knicks is Scottie Wilbekin. I have heard he has been doing some good things in Australia.
They should really cut Amundson and bring back Arnett Moultrie. Send him to the Dleague and see if they can get his career on track. The guy is only 24 and had some potential coming out of Miss ST.

Amundson being on the team is pretty puzzling. The only reason I can come up with is that he is a good locker room vet with a great work ethic. The Knicks had some guys Sam, J R , and Shumpert that weren't the best role models for young guys. Also, Amundson is going to do everything he can to please his coach.

If they want to keep amundson for that then they are dumb. Let stat do that. Cut Bargs and try to trade Ja Smith or cut him too. Then I could see them using two roster spot for Fisher to have his own " eyes and ears" in the locker room. You can't have 5 roster spots being used by guys that are useless on the court. STAT, Bargs, Smith, Amundson, and Thomas are useless game players with zero potential. With a season already wasted why was time on players with zero future?

My theory is Phil trying to show some love
From a business perspective towards agents and their clients
I think because he's already waived a couple players this year
He doesn't want to give this impression he's a waive happy
I gives 0 fux about your players lining up another gig executive
IMO he's trapped himself into over thinking things
If he's already walking on pins and needles in regards to agents-players perception
Can you imagine how negotiations are going to go this summer
When he has to hammer out deals with Max-No Trade Clause-Trade Kicker implications
Oh wait/////

I agree. But it is the only reason I can come up with. Does Amundson as a vet have a higher salary for trades?

yes but I doubt that's the reason.
