We really are stuck with 15 salary slots but I wonder if we can make smoe kind of accomodations to keep him? A guy who is 6-10 who can shoot rebound play D is a good player for this team's system longer term. I wonder If he has played well enough to warrant consideration to stay?

Who knows what Wear can do but I think he fits what we can expect to see in Phil's type of players. Well rounded players rather than one way players. I see some of these kids ending up in D League and being groomed for later.
I think people are overrating him but I would cut Outlaw and put him on the 15 then stick him in the NBDL

I have no faith in Outlaw. I think any of these young guys would give us more than him. Outlaw looked even worse than STAT in the defensive drills. I just don't see the value of Outlaw over one of these young players with upside. I know he was brought in to be there in case Early wasn't ready but I don't even think he's useful in that instance instead of playing Early and letting him get his bruises.

If only! I hated the deal then and hate it even more now. It had nothing to do with Bargnani himself but more to do with the fact that we grossly overpaid to get him. I know that some are optimistic he'll turn it around in the triangle but I still suspect that what you see is what you get. Some guys are content with just going through the motions and everything about Bargnani's demeanor suggests that he's cool threading water. Just look at how doughy his body is. He reminds me a lot of Eddy Curry except that he is lucky that his metabolism prevents him from being a fat fuck.

Some say that Outlaw is an excellent lockerroom presence. If that's the case, we might want to consider keeping him around. To me, that in and of itself makes him more valuable than Bargnani who has become redundant on this team. I wouldn't lose sleep, however, if either guy was let go. All I know is that I want Wear on this team. I could see him emerging into the PF version of Brad Miller.

I did read a lot of positives about Outlaw including the fact that he is a good locker room presence. I was looking for information on Acy and the general consensus on Outlaw from what I read is that he is a good guy that comes prepared to play everyday.
I am intrigued by Wear. I think the Knicks current plan is to send him to the d-l as one of the three guys they can send to Westchester and protect from the d league draft.
I think both Wear and Sanchez fit the system very well and could be brought in when roster spots open
However, till then, we risk the chance of another team picking them up
I like what Galloway with his length as a 3rd string guard but he doesn't fill a need and we lack roster spots
Outlaw's combination of length/athleticism allows him to be a servicaable player and effective, he came in shape being in the final year of his contract and offers insurance for CA
Right now Early will have to get stronger and quicker, playing in the NBA with more size/athleticsm/strength/speed/quickness and talent
Early will get there but it will take him time as he wasn't strong enough to defend PF's and quick enough to defend G's, something he must work on
Had we signed someone like James Johnson or brought back Shawnee Williams, I could see why Outlaw could be let go, but as it stands, he is still currently an effective player if called upon
Outside of that, he actually has the most versatility to defend 3 positions, maybe even 4-5 positions at times
If we are serious about going in play offs, having player of that caliber is very important, we do not want CA exerting energy in defending Lebron James, Durant, or opponents #1 scorers

I'd rejoice if they bought out Bargs and replaced him with a bag of potatoes. Can't stand the guy and he isn't even good at what he is purported to be good at. He obviously has lost all passion for the game.

Yeah, I'd prefer to keep Wear in the D-League but think he should officially be made a Knick. With a young player like that, you don't want to hurt his confidence/ego. He needs to understand that what has him in the D-League has nothing to do with his talent and is only meant to be a pitstop until he refines his game. Hopefully in the interim, we can condense our roster to create an opportunity to allow him to see floor time every now and again. I still say we should look to dump Bargnani and move Amare ASAP.

I don't care for him or his game either. It was a nice experiment but I think it ran its course. Truth be told, I don't think he even wants to be here. He seemed to milk that "injury" of his for all it was worth last season.

Thought the same thing at first, but big guys come on late sometimes. I thought the Plumlee brothers were trash in college too, but they've managed to improve.
