Wow, I have to say that we have really been through thick and thin together. Been here for 12+ years. Great site for venting, being creative, chest thumping. It doesn't get better than this.
Posting to see when I joined. Think it was 2002.

I'd say it's a bit less fun these days- there's some bitterness thats crept in the past few years, that wasn't really there even in the depths of the IT era. I hope we can get back to having a bit more fun regardless of how the team is doing.
Nedyal was here before Nalod.
I was so much youthier then, Im older than that now......

Thats true. I can correlate life events and what I was back then versus now. 12+ years is a lifetime within itself. Pretty much the only consistent in my life is the Jets Mets Knicks have all been terrible for a bakers dozen. People couldve passed away who posted here that long ago and we may never know who. I'd like to be younger to lol believe me. Getting older there is little to say good about it.
VDesai wrote:Agreed - long time on this forum. Generally a great group of people on this site. Been a while since I have been to a UK get together, but have had the opportunity to meet many people here in person and its a really great group of bball junkies.
been a while since there has been a UK together for sure. we should do one this year. agree about it generally being a great group of dudes, theres exceptions to every rule though

I havent even looked at it yet.
I found this site while I was up in Boston for college. Didn't have a TV and needed a way to follow the Knicks. I lurked for a while before joining. This site has definitely gotten me through the rough years with the Knicks and I appreciate the long time posters. In general this place has been great and consistent, occasionally an influx of new posters happens (Linsanity) and that changes the board for a while but it always seems to find a groove that is a real pleasure to be a part of.
I'm a lurker, but I've been visiting this site every single day since 2004.
I still read! just dont post much lol but cheers briggs!
It is a rather amazing community(with a few notable exceptions

)and really has become a family over the years that culminate in off site get togethers like the UK pick-up games or the time you Brother Briggs once famously bought 25 tickets for a bunch of the UK faithful to a Pre-season game. What other internet forum could boast of that sort of community.

That was actually regular season versus Philly towards the end of season.

Youre absolutely right, the team was playing so badly it just felt like a friggin pre-season game haha
Don't post much but I've been reading a long time. I'm going to visit UConn tomorrow - by daughter is there.
Hmm. Now I need to post to see when I first joined in...
Ive been lurking for two years before i made my first post as NYC4life....then changed it to blkexec. Good post....
I used to be at Knicks4life
I was a freshman in highschool during Knicks finals run in 1999 when Tim Duncan killed us. That run made me a diehard. I was working in Walmart as a cashier the summer we traded Ewing to the Sonics for a bag of peanuts. I remember reading it in the news paper. From then on I need to know every move the Knicks were making or going to make in order to get over the hump and win the championship. Which lead me to the MSG forums. Then majority of us MSG guys migrated over here about 10yrs ago.
Probably have been posting with some of the same guys for 10+yrs and counting. I'm going to have some nice coin lined up in Jan doing all this overtime. Wouldn't mind getting a drink and watching a game with of you guys around that time.
Hoping we can turn things around this year.
