Knicks · I have to say wow that so many people who post here have been on this site for ten years or more (page 3)

thejerk @ 10/12/2014 9:17 AM
Hoping we can turn things around this year.
Moonangie @ 10/12/2014 11:38 AM
Did anybody mention the ALBA tournament?
Allanfan20 @ 10/13/2014 8:16 AM
It is crazy how a lot of the same guys have been around here for so long. I wasn't sure if I would like this board when I first joined but it turned out to be pretty awesome. Glad to post with all y'all.

With that said, I need help because I am not sure if anyone remembers but the newbies are supposed to give me a $50 membership initiation fee and I haven't gotton any of that. Perhaps we can start making their post counts go below zero to show them who is boss... me.

skeng @ 10/13/2014 7:08 PM
I wonder what will happen when Martin and Andrew dies? Maybe there won't be internet in the US by that time and we have Marcin and Andrei running this bish from somewhere in Eastern Europe via some crazy connect that IWG/blob has?

but seriously, thank you all for contributing here and making it that much better to be a Knick fan. I think we'll all see better days soon - and what a weird feeling that'll be.

djsunyc @ 10/13/2014 7:25 PM
nothing will top this forum during the 05/06 season. i wish we had all those threads archived so we can relive the isiah/larry glory.

btw, let's go raptors

I'd say it's a bit less fun these days- there's some bitterness thats crept in the past few years, that wasn't really there even in the depths of the IT era. I hope we can get back to having a bit more fun regardless of how the team is doing.

Yea, I would have to agree with this. Winning will get rid of a lot of the soreness.

are all of us < 10'ers shut out of this thread? If yes, can we move it to OT?

It's been fun - especially meeting all the UK rasta's out there- and thank you for the tickets BRIGGS! That was epic-

Yo! 31 October 2003.

In what other company can I mention Lavor Postell's 18 and 20 point games? (I probably signed up just to follow the weirdness that was the Postell-era Knicks. Starting five? Sprewell, Shandon Anderson, Kurt Thomas, Clarence Weatherspoon, and Mark Jackson. Lavor Postell off the bench. Plus Van Gundy.)

jrodmc @ 10/14/2014 8:26 AM
That Postell era was classic, great times...all the variations on the Shandon Anderson and the Clarence Weatherspoon.

And yet, no one ever appreciated the brilliance that was Chris McNealy...

Shandon Eiselyspoon!

I've been here for 7 years and feel like a newbie on this thread.

I haven't been posting too much this past year - been in India and going back there soon. But I enjoy reading it when I can. Great posters and Andrew and Martin are excellent mods.

toodarkmark @ 10/14/2014 10:50 AM
I started more than 10 years ago, but I don't post enough to have a presence. I've never been part of the inner circle. But I always come back.

fixed!

Seriously your selling Travis Knight short?

franco12 @ 10/14/2014 11:24 AM
I came over from the MSG board- I'm pretty sure Fish posted a link or something else.

I tend to follow my knicks news here.

I love the simple format of the site.

Talk about how long I've been here- I remember liking how clean this site came up on my old Palm Treo's! I'd always check it out during my commute in/out of the city.

I'm just a noob. You guys are awesome. Would love to see yas again at a hookup. Just sorry I didn't get to meet Briggs when he splurged for us. That was epic.
gunsnewing @ 10/14/2014 11:38 AM
Always good to hear from you Blue. Yea I still can't get over the fact I miss that epic night
Knixkik @ 10/14/2014 11:51 AM
A lot of broken dreams these past 13+ years. Day 1 of this forum, we had so much excitement for the future of this team with Sprewell, Houston, and Camby (who i was convinced was a rising star.) I'm glad i didn't know ahead of time how the next 13 years would go for the Knicks. I will continue to keep hope alive. When i first started posting here i even had excitement for the future of my own basketball career.
