See it's good to stick with the kids and let them work it out. Fish put Acy in there to GLUE the unit together and Fish told them to run this nice little set they've been running and JR has actually been part of it!!!
Of course then JR takes a bad long 3... SMDH

JR= the good, the bad, the ugly..

In what whatever it is we do right
So I don't want to hear this mess about
Trying to morph players into this role
We need to find another point guard, a real one
Yes cuz we know there are "Real" PG's just floating around.
Phil better trade for one
He had an opportunity to sign one
Instead he signed Jason Smith
It's really not a huge issue. The key is what we just saw the Knicks do on that last play. Move and move the ball. Keep the spacing.
It's a huge issue, we need a backup point guard
Keep telling yourself different
Why?
If Larkin doesn't pan out we still have the proven prigioni and Shump in this system
KNicks Lose so they are the worse team ever.
Larkins D is very troubling
I hope that shot by Smith
Finally does it for Phil
Like this was literally his
Last game as a Knick, Phil please do the right thing
My welfare mama heart hurt because my crack baby done bad
the last shot? All his shots!
Outside of the beautiful chemistry between the starting lineup there were very little positives. Jason Smith was the only other positive besides the starters

To be honest this stems from his career longterm
But short term he played like this last game
It just happened to work so it was overlooked when we win
But any smart fan and student of this game
Knows if he's gonna continue playing like this
It's going to haunt us the whole yr.

Jason was iffy, he had some rough spots too

Fish and Phil will have the most work to do on JR! We knew this coming in. JR and STAT were the guys least likely to pick up the concept of passing and playing smart.
The good news so far is Acy has shown his value as the energy guy we needed. Jose is everything we expected and Melo is starting to find his spots. Shump has looked good. I love the new Defense. When we have the right guys out there things look pretty solid defensively.

I really thought that maybe Phish can change him. From watching him tonight it looks like he could give 2 shyts.
positives where Melo shooting 4-6 and seems to be chucking less, and Shump getting 6 assists.
Don't worry about JR, Fish will make him third behind Shump and Timmy.
When he plays JR, he'll keep him him or sit him based on game momentum, but it won't be punishment or reward for playing the game right, because we all know JR is a dumb MF and he will never play consistently within any concept.
We just need a coach with some sense who pulls him quickly when he starts spazzing out.
P.S. That is my wishful thinking version of reality. I hope Fish is smart like that.

wouldn't that have been nice to see tonight? Fish pulling JR out/aside and ripping him a new azzhole?
JR shouldn't play period. Not worth the headache. Get him off the team as soon as possible
Amare was a sweet -22 - the POS has got to go/sit.
oh ... and zero assists (of course)

Pre-season. Just wait. It's coming. Though maybe no tongue lashing, just "sit down" and silence. Then we'll get JR mouthing off to reporters again about not playing enough. That's the highest probability scenario IMO. Shump is # 1 in importance and Timmy is clearly more important to the club, so JR is going to used judiciously or barely or not at all, but I don't expect to see him featured often after pre-season.
