I'm going to be heading to the Garden this season and had a couple of ticket options. Is it better to sit lower behind the hoop, or up high at center court? It's been years since I've been to the Garden and seem to remember sitting high at center court and them still being good seats. I've never sit behind the hoop, but I just wanna make the right choice. Thanks in advance.

Higher at center court, I've done both many times. Game is just more enjoyable when you have a good view of all the action.
I'd say center court on the floor
I have used season tix near the floor in the corner (semi-behind the hoop). I would prefer center court higher up. It's very hard to see the action on the opposite end of the court when you're in the corner or behind the hoop. Being close to the action is fun when the ball is on your side, but sucks when it goes back the other way.

agreed
Forget that behind the basket crap. Think about it, if you went to a college or high school game where you can sit wherever you want, would you sit behind the basket?!?
Best seats that face the court and are affordable are in the 203-210 sections. Not all the way up, got a great view of entire court, they face the benches...every b-ball game I go to at the new Garden is always in those sections. (You want to spend some more dough and get a slightly closer seat, go for the 103-110 sections.)

203-210 sounds awesome. Even 408ish center court is awesome. There really isn't a bad seat unless your view is obstructed by the new bridge somehow.
The closest I sat was in the 100s center court. During the "glory days" of Isiah/Marbury Knicks-Phoenix. The closer the better the experience definitely
