He managed to blow it in the first game- it'll be interesting to see how he does this season.
He looked terrible last night.
The thing I took most from Spurs vs Mavs
Monta Ellis looked like Olympic Melo last night except with passing
Kevin McHale still holding J.Lin down...
That Pelican team--if they stay healthy--that is one deep talented team.

The Western Conference is 12 deep
Saw Clips of Davis, Holy %@#% he can cover ground in a hurry. No wasted effort.

I called him a Souped Up Camby Day 1

On defense or offense? Not close offensively. Camby was horribly inefficient.

That's what Souped Up means
He's a better version of Marcus Camby with Offense

Camby? No way. Comparing him to Camby is an insult. Davis has guard type skills on the perimeter and can play 4 positions, even Point Forward. Not to mention his ferocious defense on the other end.
He's more like Tim Duncan with freakish athleticism. Tim Duncan after being irradiated and gaining superpowers Marvel Comics style, athleticism. His ceiling is ridiculous. Total nerdgasm.

It just worries me that they've made some really iffy moves which doesn't give me much faith in their management. The've won the lottery literally and figuratively with Davis who looks poised to be an all time type of talent if he keeps developing on the same trajectory.
Anyway, Giving up Nerlens Noel for Jrue Holiday was one such iffy move. Holiday is OK but that could be a huge mistake looking back. Noel and Davis on the frontline together could've been incredible. Asik is nice, though. All that being said the Davis/Asik pairing looks like it's going to be a helluva front line. Ryan Anderson spreads the floor for them very well too. I agree with you, Briggs, for the most part but they are young and the west is so freaking deep its ridiculous.
And their guard corps worry me. Another mistake: They are locked into Tyreke freaking Evans and Eric freaking Gordon for a lot of dough, way more than they are worth. Personally I am not high at all on those two. Especially Evans. A one trick pony who hogs the ball.
Rondo looks great, didn't play any preseason
Rondo looks like 2012 Rondo
Incredible finish in Charlotte
Missed this game but watched the box score all night
Anyone got the goods on this game
Wade hurt but may return. Bosh looks really good.

League Pass is free until November 4th. You can go back and rewatch games.
Amazing how bad Kobe looks right now. Kinda reminds me of Ewing when he declined and just got bad that 1 year.

You mean when Ewing was schooling Alonzo in his final season as a Knick in 99?
Ewing's play only significantly dropped off in Seattle and Orlando in the early 2000's. In his late 30s
Westbrook may be one of the handful of players who can take over a game. He is an example of a player really imprinting a game with his presence in a way I wish Melo could. I mean if you're already going in knowing a player is a scorer, at least that scorer should really impact the game in some way besides the ball going through the net. His speed and penetration is very disruptive.
