I thought it was one pick and the dreaded right to swap second round picks?
Don't forget the protection lifted
On the second round pick Sac owned from us Top 37 2016
As it was relinquished to get the good locker room guy
Outlaw who couldn't beat out an out of noWEAR body
Seems like Philly thought they were getting Bo Outlaw
gunsnewing wrote:Seems like Philly thought they were getting Bo Outlaw
You know what I find comical
Phil 5yrs $60mil
Fisher 5yrs $25mil
Melo 5yrs $125mil
Outlaw absolutely under all circumstances
We have to get rid of this guy to recoup $2-4mil in Taxes
Even at the expense of continuing giving away picks for no reason
Has anyone ever bothered explaining to Dolan how buyouts work
Because when is the last time we attempted one
Didn't Dolan give Chris Smith a free paycheck for a year and a half
Like I said I could understand if we were dumping Amar'e-Bargs-J.R.
But for Bo Outlaw COME ON MAN-------->PHIL!
yea i can only laugh when people get excited about saving Dolan $1-3mil in luxury tax
gunsnewing wrote:yea i can only laugh when people get excited about saving Dolan $1-3mil in luxury tax
I don't mind an owner saving money
A few teams have done this already this summer Boston being 1
But make moves to get you near the Tax thresh hold or below
Allowing you to do other things, creating more flexibility
gunsnewing wrote:yea i can only laugh when people get excited about saving Dolan $1-3mil in luxury tax
There is no logic in this move if it was only to save a few mil in lux tax. This has to be preparation for something else. Maybe a good faith move so Phil can pawn Amare on Philly at the deadline? Or there are plans made for the trade exceptions acquired.

Yeah we do, which is the only bonus here
We now have 2. One for 3.7mil one for 3mil.
Its possible this is a move in preparation for another move.
There isn't much you can do with a $1.9 million trade exception. I hate this trade, especially since we are giving up Moultrie who I think has real potential. But I'm estatic that Wear made the team.

Would the 1.9mil be able to be added with the 3.7mil or do they have to be used separately.

I am pretty sure they have to be used separately. I agree about the possibility that this might be a precursor to an amare deal down the road.

Unfortunately, you can't combine exceptions or involve them in a trade with another player. So the only way we can put the exception to good use is if we assume a contract for its value.

These waived players are either for D-League
Even our most recent waivers 4 slot carry over
Or for naught, if they don't make a team's D-League
We're stuck can't claim them but thanks to the Bo Outlaw trade
Puts us $16mil closer, getting under the Tax
gunsnewing wrote:Seems like Philly thought they were getting Bo Outlaw
Phil pulled a fast one on Philly that old fox.
Does that mean we still get to keep the Travis version of Outlaw out in the woodshed along with Boo Radley?
More than anything imo this was about opening up a roster for Travis Wear
Phil really likes him
gunsnewing wrote:More than anything imo this was about opening up a roster for Travis Wear Phil really likes him
Yeah he likes him so much
Phil says the D-League is calling for him

I guess the Sixers are just trying to sck until they get what amounts to a franchise type player in the draft. The one thing I dont get--they have MCW--yes he has some flaws but he could be a first team all defensive type PG and if he contain shooting outside shots could get up to the 43-44% range with smart play. Yet they want to dump him? Right now the Sixers are a waste land of the NBA. If you have a contract you want to get rid of--the Sixers will take it for 2'2s--theyve had like 9 2nd round picks in the lat two years--net from that---not much. In some aspects you say well they have Embiid and Noel--and that could be awesome yet a tweak here or there with either player--and bang the Sixers just junked 4 years for zero.

Of the players you like MCW is currently tweaked
They can use all the 2nds to trade into 1st rounds
They have babies on their team
It's like they are their personal farm collegiate team
They have time to be bad for another yr or two
It's scary to think what they will be come 2018

Teague was a first round pick. I am not positive but I think his contract would be guaranteed. I believe training camp invites can be protected from the d league draft. I don't think Teague qualifies.
He called him Captain Haiku
