Knicks · Tyson Chandler Already Having An MVP Season (page 1)

FireWoodson @ 10/28/2014 8:17 PM
Anyone watching this Mavs v Spurs game? Man, just four minutes in and Tyson Chandler has 2014/15 MVP written all over him!
FireWoodson @ 10/28/2014 8:27 PM
Another back-tap leading to a Mavs score...a 20 foot jumper in...the guy is killing it out there!

Ten minutes into the season and I miss him already.
The Mavs traded him and got him back, can't we do the same thing?

Splat @ 10/28/2014 8:28 PM
You make the best threads!

This one giving Chandler the MVP award after just five minutes may have been a bit premature.
He hurt his back already and had to go to the locker room for treatment!
Damn!

Contract year. He has a lot to prove. Anyone that watched his play and listened to him last year knows that he mailed it in and created extra drama.

I just looked up stats of game so far, says he got 4 points and 7 reb...is he being that fantastic??

What TPercy said. 2-6 from the field is really killing it?

okayfine.

Not a fan of Tyson's at all but he looks good tonight. He needs to redeem himself for the embarrassing showing he had in NY both in terms of his character and his performance. Also, it is a contract year.
nyk4ever @ 10/28/2014 9:31 PM
you're an idiot.
nixluva @ 10/28/2014 10:46 PM
Who cares what Tyson does? The Mavs were already a good team so it's a bit easier to look good when you are on a well coached team and good players around you. He is part of a team contending for a title, so if expect nothing less than his best.

i watched the game... he didn't really do THAT well. Duncan was easily making a fool out of him and Duncan is 60 years old.

StarksEwing1 @ 10/29/2014 8:09 AM
Tyson should have never left Dallas IMO. This was the place he seemed to feel most comfortable. He had a good game but im still glad we got rid of him
Splat @ 10/29/2014 8:12 AM
Tyson is Barg's brother from another mother. They both play really well for 8 minutes, then spazz out.

In Tyson's case, he gets his panties bunched up and called for a technical (some of the dumbest technicals I've seen actually) and in Barg's case he just spaces out completely all of a sudden and he self-destructs and has to be sat down.

Tyson's motor is totally suspect the way he played here. If he's not injured, he still takes plays off and often gives up buckets on defense after making good plays just minutes earlier.

Both guys are totally erratic. They often shoot their wads earlier in the game.

If Tyson shows a full-time motor this season, what would that say about him? It would be good for Dallas, but it would also be a big fat FU to NYC, because that would mean he truly dogged it here.

So funny to listen to guys like Barkley and Shaq laud & gush over the guy. LOL. Did Barkley call him "a great shot-blocker" last night? Huh??? LMAO...I mean did these guys even watch him closely last year?!? Completely agree with Crush -- mailed it in last year, created extra drama and didn't provide nearly enough leadership. Joke. We're better off with whatever we have in the middle now with Daly, Cole, Jason...I really believe that. One of those guys that doesn't take responsibility -- it was always someone else's fault (Woody's fault, the refs...this guys never thinks he commits a foul); he was sick, that's why Hibbert destroyed him in the playoffs, blah, blah...It's ashame because he had some big games for us but unfortunately, this is the nonsense I'm gonna remember.

I expect Chandler to have a great year.

He is playing for a new contract.
Once he has it, it will be back to good old reliable Flu Tyson.

It is funny hearing Barkley praise someone he always dissed when on the Knicks. He is so transparent. He will never get over the broom episode when the KNicks swept him out of the payoffs like 20 years ago... lol

Moonangie @ 10/29/2014 9:21 AM
Contract year. He undoubtedly mailed it in @NYK. He was never as bad, lazy (or flu-ridden) as he let on while here. He just wasn't happy.

He can suck it for all I care. Totally unprofessional to get paid and not give effort.

EnySpree @ 10/29/2014 9:32 AM
Tyson still can't pass, still cant shoot still can't make a layup, still complaining to the refs....defense and rebound...still can't secure a rebound when you need him to....still can't lock down anyone when you need him to...

tap out rebounds and wide open alley oops.....he can disappear in Dallas with the team they have.

Knixkik @ 10/29/2014 10:48 AM
We got 2 good years out of him in his prime. All-star and DPOY. No complaints there. Last year was the year he really slipped then mailed it in. No matter how good he looks, we made the right move with him. There is no upside left with his game. He will have spurts where he looks great, and others where he looks old and injured.
