Gosh Shump you're out on the perimeter trying
To dance with the basketball and you had Cole wide open
You are so terrible

the knicks were predictably godawful on defense. i think you have known that for a long time.
i said the defense would put the knicks in a 6-7 game hole that only a top 5 offense would allow them to become .500.
do you foresee the defense improving? yes or no
do you foresee the offense gelling into a top 5 offense? yes or no
This game will be remembered in the history books for producing Travis Wear's first points as a NBA player before his epic run to ROY and Finals MVP.

i like wear but he looked like a deer in headlights before that bucket

Hopefully he eats into Jason Smith's minutes
Guys I'm not saying anything positive. I just said you have to keep perspective and how is that not true? This was a bad game but you can't get carried away by this one game. I'm pretty sure for some here it's just what you wanted to see. This team is going to have better nights than this so why get crazy after one game?

81 games left. Was anyone expecting a quick fix? Anyone expecting the transition to a new coac, a new system and new teammates to not have ups and downs? Tonight was rough but it seems a little early to give up on the season.
Time to watch the world series.

now you are being silly. Nobody wants them to lose and especially get blown out. Fans are being objective about this year

Who's getting crazy besides those who watched
And didn't like what they saw but commented accurately on what took place
Who is getting nervous and antsy besides you

Dude get used to seeing these kinds of loses this season. I hate to rain on parades but this team is a bunch of square pegs with absolutely no quality depth and only one or two players on the _entire roster_ who can adequately play defense.
It doesn't matter if we execute the hell out of the triangle when teams shred the fuck out of our defense every night we are going to lose A LOT.
How anyone could watch this game and see positives an any hope of beating the myriad of low 30 win projections is beyond me. Actually it's not. Pass that pipe and powder I wanna get High as hell.

We lost to a team we were supposed to lose to. Whether we lose by 24 or 4 what does it matter? Hopefully this lights a fire under them.
On the upside, amare looked pretty good. Let's get Calderon back who will add some shooting and fluidity to the offense and see what happens.

The way we played was brutal. Are we supposed to be down to any team on home turf by 35 on opening night? We looked robotic over-matched at every position, out-coached. You name it, we were bad. Name me a good team in the last 20 years to get wiped out at home on opening night--and where do you see the upside?

I obviously do see the team getting better or else I would not have picked them to be a playoff team. Yes they will improve defensively and offensively.

I think Calderon/Larkin could be a nice duo. I was really down on Larkin but he ended the preseason well and looked good tonight.
