I think Calderon/Larkin could be a nice duo. I was really down on Larkin but he ended the preseason well and looked good tonight.

i was always a larkin fan. People forget a injury delayed his development

i like wear but he looked like a deer in headlights before that bucket
He was someone jipped. The player movement was really bad and the first few times he touched the ball out high--there was no place to go. Travis is a D league guy--hes for the future--he needs reps.

Bubbie, you'll know the basic fate of this team around a dozen games into the season. If they still cannot get stops, it will be one of the worst teams we've had in a long time. If they can get stops, they'll bumble along and grind out an occasional extra win.
But if the defense is porous after a dozen games, it is highly unlikely a miracle player is going to step into the breach and rescue this team this year.
Not with 44 back-to-backs. This is an OLD, OLD, OLD, undermanned team that already is nursing injuries. Whatever good they do will still be sorely tested by their lack of depth pressured by better teams and a rough schedule.
And Fisher is not going to be able to compensate by settling on his best 5-7 players and running them into the ground. That will just produce more injuries.
So expect to see Early, Cole, Wear and such on the floor like tonight due to fatigue, injuries and blowouts.
You'll become a fan of the TANK soon enough.

Larkin looked good for about two minutes. We should pick up Bynum and Adrien and dump two guys. We need more pro players on the team who can help.

Larkin did a little, but mostly he was just there. He is really bad off the ball unless he's already running a give and go when he passes. The rest of the time he drifts off into a daydream on the perimeter after he passes. It is really awful and I hope he snaps out of it. When Pablo passes, he remains aware of the action and will come back to the ball if a pass receiver is needed. Larkin simply hits the snooze button half the time he's on the floor.
Knicks guards shot just under 29%. The Knicks need Calderon.
It will take sometime before we see a decent team on the floor. Players are thinking rather than reacting. I am not happy with the way preseason was used though. I felt that the starting lineup needed to be set at certain positions everyone needed reps a lot of reps.

I think Amare goes to the bench when Calderon returns. Need Amare's steady offense off the bench. Clerly not getting anything consistent from the guards

the knicks were predictably godawful on defense. i think you have known that for a long time.
i said the defense would put the knicks in a 6-7 game hole that only a top 5 offense would allow them to become .500.
do you foresee the defense improving? yes or no
do you foresee the offense gelling into a top 5 offense? yes or no
I obviously do see the team getting better or else I would not have picked them to be a playoff team. Yes they will improve defensively and offensively.
well educate me please: how does fisher and company get the knicks to improve on defense? is it "teaching?" disciplining? inspiring? something else?

I agree. I was wondering if he got the start because Jose was out but then realized he was starting prior to Jose being pulled.

Nix probably has a valid explanation
I told him this would happen and more than likely often
If nothing changes with this roster and overall rotations
Our guards will have a statistical night like tonight about 15gms out of 82gms
Do something Melo! Show the haters why you're an underrated superstar (not that you care what people say).
No longer a Ver er er gin

It's amazing how polarizing these wins and losses this season will become, when in reality it's just a transistion year. Not matter how good or bad it is, we have our draft pick and capspace. Theses games are irrelevant except for implementing the system. Phil, please dump calderon so we can have more please and I'm good.
