You never know, this might work. Amare better run the court though, if Larkin is starting he only has one speed...quick.

give the kid a chance he was a first round pick just got injured which hindered his development
Larkin on Hinrich will hopefully be the match up on defense. I could live with that.
Those Calve strains can be tricky. Better safe than sorry.

Maybe history can repeat itself, I think his College career start it off similar. He started off slow then took advantage when another guard got injured.
All I can think of is how great was that trade Phil made which not only moved guys we didn't want but added some youth to the roster. Larkin was a 1st rd pick we added. I'm pulling for the kid.

might as well being a transition year develop some youth
Melo looks like he had a 100oz Milkshake before the game
I can already see he's back to his normal weight

The hell with the game man. Now I'm going to stay up until 3 am touching watching this picture
We are going to get killed these first 2 games

Yup... great opportunity for him. Wonder how much pressure he'll put on himself, or will he be relaxed and play up to his potential.
Just a "suppose," for argument's sake:
What if the Knicks beat Chicago and Cleveland, and Larkin averages 17 ppg, 9 apg, 3 spg, and 5 rpg, and plays competitive D and runs the Triangle like Fisher, and then the Knicks decide Calderon isn't ready, and Larkin has repeat performances in games 3 and 4?
Just wondering.

He made weight and then hit the pasta bowl before the fight

yea i noticed that the other day. I don't think he eats right in season. It seems he goes all out in the offseason with his workouts and diet
Hence why he always looks bigger, slower and fatigued the deeper we get into the season. Remember the boston & indy series?

Then part of the future will have already arrived. And Larkin will instantly become the pocket rocket every single New York girl dreams about at night.
