I've been a fan of his for a while and even though he is a work in progress and has a lot to learn to be a starting pg i really hope we keep him around. Last night he was one of the few guys who played good against one of the toughest defensive teams. I really hope we pick up his option because 1.7 million is not gonna hinder our cap especially for a young pg
I'd like to see him play a really good game before I get particularly gung ho about Larkin.
Saying he was good last night is pushing it Most of the squad blew big time, so he was OK by comparison really. He had a handful of nice plays, but he had little impact much of the time he was on the floor.
He is still often completely aimless in his actions and, as I've noted before, he is god awful off the ball other than give and go plays. When he passes off, he just drifts off to the perimeter and watches the rest of the play unfold and contributes nothing. That is not PG play. Something is not really clicking in his brain much of the time. I don't think his ball IQ is particularly high so I don't know that he really has a very high ceiling at all.

I didnt say he was geat last night and im not "gung ho" about him but i feel we shouldpick up his option since its not alot of money and he does have talent he just needs to be given a chance. Remember last ear his rookie year was lost because of injuries
We'll see. I suspect he is not going to make it in the NBA. And maybe the Knicks figured out he is not a sure thing, so they'll play him now and see if he develops.
I don't think it is a mystery why they chose to exercise caution about making a further commitment.
I could be wrong and he turns out great which would be cool. Like I've said, support your local Crack Baby. Just maybe don't extend his contract just yet.
