Knicks · Tyson Chandler Sam Dalembart (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 11/5/2014 9:14 AM
What a nasty downgrade this has turned out to be. This entire trade may be 1 that makes I Thomas trades look good.
jrodmc @ 11/5/2014 9:19 AM
Briggs, can you also tell me what ailment FluPersonalChicken would have suffered by now if he were still here?
IT? Really? One word: ECurry

Come back, Briggs. We're only 2-2. The Cavs game was only last week.

franco12 @ 11/5/2014 9:21 AM
typical briggs over reaction post!

just wait until calderon plays before judging this.

And you forget, Chandler dogged it last year and we unloaded Felton - which was addition by subtraction.

And you forget about some of the other pieces we got, though not picking up Larkin really does negate one of the positives of the deal.

And Chandler would not fit the triangle- at least I don't think he would have put up any numbers better than Dalembert in this system.

fishmike @ 11/5/2014 9:22 AM
Sam had a bad shooting game but hasnt looked bad. If anything I think he's been underutilized. He's a very good passer.

Did you watch Tyson last year? Were the Knicks supposed to stick with that?

It's impossible to know what was what last year. This year one player look like a 2nd team all star C one looks like he is on his last legs. All of the other stuff we traded for--while we cant properly judge it for 2 years--has the earmark of a bust.

He's 32, always gets hurt and is playing for a big payday. Cmon man... look at whats unfolding. We had Tyson for 3 years. One was great. One was OK. One was total fodder. The year he was great he ended up being destroyed by Hibbert in the playoffs so at the end of the day Tyson proved nothing with the Knicks.

Also he's GONE. Unless you wanted to resign him? I mean whats your plan with Tyson? If he was younger I think your post would have more merit. But he's 32, he's ALWAYS hurt.

Also Knicks are 2-2 against 4 playoff teams with Shane Larkin starting at PG. I mean cmon... its a bit premature for 'nasty downgrade' no?

How is it impossible to know about broke legs, flu's, On Being Mrs. Hibbert and locker room coaching carcinogens from a guy who can't bother to master a post move, or a 10 foot jumpshot? Tyson is back where he belongs. It was slightly nice for one whole season. No hard feelings. Thanks for the draft picks.

And I'm sure the Mavs are now truly overjoyed having stolen Ray Felton from us.

mreinman @ 11/5/2014 9:50 AM
the main reason we needed to get rid of Tyson was for culture change. He was a malignant tumor on that team.

Of course he is miles better than Damby.

Jose better do great things here.

F500ONE @ 11/5/2014 9:55 AM
Tyson is having a very good start

As are the Mavs to say the least

Their offense is like a well oiled machine

They don't run TRIANGLE either and haven't

For well over a decade and they done nothing

But kick out 50 win season after 50 win season

Tyson and Dirk are the only Mavs from their chip team

And most of the players have only played

With each for a year or two or not at all

The Mavs are my pick to come out the West

There's nothing Phil can say to me, to justify

Thinking Dalembert is a fit for the triangle and not Tyson

I don't care that he traded Tyson away, I care about his reasoning

Oh and don't look now but we have one of the

Worst offenses in the entire NBA

EnySpree @ 11/5/2014 9:56 AM
If Tyson was still here he would be getting the same minutes for 4 times the money. It's not worth debating.

Cool

So what you're saying is

You're clamoring for an Amar'e/Mareese Speights type of trade

gunsnewing @ 11/5/2014 10:04 AM
Tyson is playing well because he's yet to catch the flu

maybe when dallas visits NY he can get his NY flu injections.

Splat @ 11/5/2014 10:14 AM
That settles it. Bring back Tyson. At whatever cost.
Dagger @ 11/5/2014 10:21 AM
Screw the legend of Tyson. He was crap the last few years and he's still crap.

It's unfortunate we're still stuck with

Can't wait til those legends are long gone too

How dare you insult a fashion icon like Tyson Chandler, he of the low crotch, mid-calf capri pant.

smackeddog @ 11/5/2014 10:29 AM
So you're judging the trade when Calderon and the two rookies haven't even played a regular season minute yet, based on 4 games of Tyson, and 4 games of Dalambert and Larkin (Both of whom have played okay). Do you honestly think now is the best, most accurate time to judge the trade?
Nalod @ 11/5/2014 10:31 AM
We got Clearanthony, Jose and Sam.

Briggs, your a bright guy but it seems like you make lots of recommendations based on each game you see.
There is a big picture. How big? Bigger than your daily take aways.

One pays a price to rid themselves of Felton as well.
