Hopefully he keeps this up so we can trade him by the trade deadline

I am sure it isn't. Hard to think that this is just "new" shump. Based on his college and pro careers, one with assume that this uptick is the exception.

It happens. You have extreme cases like Michael Redd, but you other cases like Avery Johnson, Bruce Bowen and James Posey where guys just get a better understanding of which spots on the court they are most effective. Still too early to declare that Shump has finally turned it around tho.

No joke. His rookie contract ends this year. You don't overpay a guy with a bad history just because he's good in a contract year. Of course, he could be a new player but it's a bad gamble IMO.

Knicks should not overpay for Shumpert. Although he is playing better, but he still tries to play hero ball; specially, when it is not necessary. The other day against Atlata, he tried to take over the game by not running the offense as he should have. Although He is perhaps the one Knicks to play a "little" defense, but in my opinion he is not that good of a defender.

Papabear Says

If he is playing that good. Why trade him? That's our problem now.

Advance Shumpert! would be a terrific name for a Japanese death metal band

The Knicks are highly likely to retain Shumpert if he can sustain this type of play. Its important if you can to keep what is in place. Shumperts play is going well--one less need. Money is money--have to pay some guys.

Another great game in the books.
Don't worry Briggs he will finally get praise from the UK faithful when he's playing like this for another team

Which would be a sham since he is the our best drafted 2way player since Ewing. 30yrs ago

SwishAndDish13 @ 11/10/2014 11:11 PM
Shump played pretty solid tonight, but is the guy aware that their is a 24 second shot clock? I would estimate around 8 possessions or so that were 24 second violations or horrendous heaves with under 3 seconds on the clock were on him. No real metrics for this to my knowledge. Guy needs to be a better decision maker and stop committing stupid fouls nowhere near the basket to go to the next level. Talks of him being great are taking it to far! Realize we are desperate as a fanbase, but saying that he is more than a solid role player on a contender (assuming he accepts being a role player) seems to be a bit crazy.

you should just make that your signature. And Shump isnt even as good as Wil Chandler who we drafted. Or Gallo. Or David Lee. Or Nate Robinson. But yes... Shump's had a good start and is making his usual impact
Allanfan20 @ 11/11/2014 11:41 AM
Shump has been off to a very good start and it is hard to understand why he, of all people, is getting the brunt of the UK wrath. His play has been much better, he hasn't been doing anything stupid in the news and his attitude has been fine. SMH. I guess the high top turns people off or the fact that he raps in his free time.

My kinda guy. Expose special for putting too much stock in petty B.S.
