Knicks · Jason Smith (page 1)

Jason Smith was not good last night. Yet Cole, Acy & Wear were DNP.

Smith played 21 minutes, but it felt like he was on the court for an eternity. Bad play is like perfume, it really stinks and has a lingering effect.

So if this is how the rotation gets tigthened up, it appears Fish let him hang himself and didn't sub him out for any of those three to prove he was giving him his shot. Or sumthin.

I'd rather have a looser rotation then and play guys who are producing. Smith was a hot mess. He shot 3-7 but the box score doesn't show he was really a train wreck on offense, stumbling around, not coherent. And on D, he was flailing around a whole lot and accomplishing little. He's just awkward at anything other than an open look mid-range catch and shoot.

yeah ... last night was my first big ding against fisher

Phil has said Cole is the third string center. Not sure but Acy had wrist issues. If you are going to judge Fisher by how much he plays Wear I think you will hate Fisher.

Anyone think Jason was good though?

But he's got great pop to his game with J.R.

I think he plays for this reason alone

It keeps J.R. somewhat corralled as they play

Patty cake with each other

I do find it perplexing Fisher sticks Wear on Lebron

Really his first assignment in a real game, a biggie

He does well and he's only pulled the trigger

Again on him once since, Flawless Rotations huh?

Wear was retained for one reason and one reason only. He's our Lebron stopper. The rest of the time he sits.

He's terrible. Easy to see why he was a scrapheap guy. Doleac was better.

Nearly every player we have is playing so inconsistently every game, it's making it a nightmare for Fish to find a solid rotation. jason Smith plays two games where he looks solid, then stinks up the gym. Act stinks up the gym, plays great, then stinks again. Watching Tim Jr, JR and Shump is like watching a game of Russian roulette.

Who cares? I hope Jason Smith goes 0-7 every night to off set THJ and Shumperts good play.

Spoken like a true tank commander

Smith will do OK offensively if the ball is moving and the Triangle is functioning. He is at his best in a system, He is not an ISO player, and when we revert to that, guys like him suffer.
