Why are we buying into this public relations spin?!?
So in other words this 2014-15 season (and probably the next one) is nothing but an 82 game Summer League. I might go to this Friday's game. But here's the problem: I have to shell out my 75 bucks to see our team work on stuff. I have to pay my 75 bucks to see my team lose to the Utah Jazz and think "This is a work in progress, be patient, cap will be better in two years..."
THIS IS INSANE!
I have never seen this in any professional sports league. We are being told that if we suck, if we blow 16 point leads to teams that aren't any good, if we lose five, six, ten straight, doesn't matter -- this is what we have to live with for an entire season! Work in progress.
Do I expect a championship run every season from every team I root for?
HELL YES!!!
That's what the GM, the players, the coaching staff must set out to do. I'm buying the f***ing tickets to see a team attempt to be the best. This Knicks crap about us being a work in progres and expecting nothing this season is a new dangerous area for a sports franchise to go.
OK, be a work in progress, but then sell me my ticket for ten bucks and throw in a complimentary hot dog.

It ain't complimentary. I won't be enjoying it.
