How about starting a thread asking how many idiots were for this trade when it went down.

As long as we don't get any unwanted contract back, two picks for the deadweight will suffice. We can then package the two picks with a JR Smith to move up in the draft or for a much better talent.

Im being serious have you noticed that since the new CBA passed expiring contracts have taken a huge hit in value? N O B O D Y is giving up a first round pick for Andrea F#*CKING Bargnani. Nobody. Not even the dumbest GM in the league. In fact, if you look at the last couple trades that dumped expirings, the team that TRADED AWAY the expiring had to give up the picks.

On top of all this it's now crystal clear to most everyone that Bargs suckks bigtime. Thats the bottom line. Thinking we can get draft picks for Bargs, even a second rounder, is a pipe dream of the highest caliber. It ain't happening unless the Knicks are getting back some bum equally as bad as Bargs, possibly on a longer deal. No thanks. The best thing we can do is let Bargs expire and kick his ass out the door asap.

Actually, nearly everyone hated the trade at the time- most felt it was an IT type trade. Some people tried to find some sort of positive (moving Novaks contract- although the Raptors managed to do that AND got a 2nd rounder BACK), but the general consensus was the trade was terrible.

I hate the Bargs trade, always have. To be fair, we don't know that he sucks in this system as he hasn't played. When he did play sparingly, he looked good. So once he gets healthy, one never knows.

Regarding expiring contracts: If someone has a good player on a longer contract that they want to rid themselves of (which with the salary cap going up, probably is less likely to happen), then they might call on us. I don't doubt that they ask for something back, but it depends on the player. Expirings is sort of a last resort to a team in financial need. But again, with the cap going up, I think the hit will be even bigger. We probably gave up a first round pick for Bargs, which thus far has amounted to nothing. It looked shizzy to start and remains as such.
