exactly. Toronto was probably surprised we offered good value

Good value? How about otherworldly value! Ujiri probably almost choked on his sandwich and had to put dolan on hold so he could LOL hysterically and high five his secretary when he heard the offer. It seems that the only guy on earth left who didn't realize Bargs was a worthless basketball player was dolan.

That deal actually has Grunwald's stamp on it, thus why he got fired. Felton, Camby and Bargs were acquired pretty much the same way. Draft picks used along with creating salaries to match the one acquired.

I seemed to remember reading something about Grunwald wanting to target someone else (L Aldridge or something--POR was not so good yet and he wanted out maybe?) and Dolan via CAA suggested going after Bargs instead and Dolan was all about it due to the Eagles BS. Or something. I could totally be off base here.

We gave up a NON PROTECTED 1ST and Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, Quentin Richardson (via a sign-and-trade). It is going to be ironic that he is going to walk and another year+ from now we are going to be giving Toronto a non protected first and quite possible not have gotten anything for Bargs in a trade.

If by some act of the Knick Gods we suck 2 drafts from now and Toronto gets a top pick in the draft, that is going to break fans.

Yeah, that might just do it for me. Knicks melodrama is so effing boring at this point.

We could have got Lowery, but instead we got Bargnani.

How sad is that?

I recall Stephen A saying that, although we had nothing to offer for LMa. CAA could have sterred Bargs to NY via amnesty.

I was another who thought he might work out for us. Total waste of space on the team, and a total waste of a draft pick.

He must be thinking about going back to Italy to play, because he is not doing his NBA future any good with what he has done for us. How could anyone offer the guy a decent contract next year?

Do we have trainers working with the guy while he rehabs???

Have to wonder about the lack of pride this guy has.
