Knicks · WKnick game is fun to watch. (page 1)

Having Wally and Al call it helps but the kids are playing well. Sanchez looks really god tonight. I haven't gotten a chance to watch this team but based on box scores this has to be one of his best games. Thanasis has looked fantastic. Much better than last year when I saw him play. Galloway is also a very good prospect.

unlike a knick game, its competitive! There is effort! There is hope.
CrushAlot @ 11/25/2014 9:10 PM
Thanasis just got his fifth block.
Also, the County Center looks great.
CrushAlot @ 11/25/2014 9:47 PM
I think Thanasis s going to be a good nba player. His energy, defense, athleticism and strength alone are enough for him to be a rotation player. Galloway and Sanchez both looked really void as well.

I agree I have a good feeling about Thanasis. I wish theyll bring him up before the end of the year. His bro has certainly taken another step the season. The genes are def there.

They have a younger brother who is a senior in HS right now in Milwaukee somewhere. His two brother say he's a lock for the NBA as well.

After seeing Greek Freak last year I made a point of watching a dl game that Thanasis played in. I didn't think he was that good and I didn't like the pick but he looks great.

Thanasis had 6 blocks, 4 steals and 18 points.

This is my favorite thread of the month. I don't doubt some of the rotation players of the future are in Westchester and that they'll be much better than whom is playing in MSG now.

That is the best thing management has put together so far IMO. Still need that high pick and some good luck in free agency and special ointment for Grandpa Melo, but if they can keep finding unpolished gems and spiff them up down the street, we might have some luck on our side.

That's a culture shift if it pans out. This franchise has been turble at development. Not so bad at finding gems, but not much for polishing them up before shipping them out or letting them go.

What I read about Sanchez this Summer was pretty fascinating. He certainly sounded like a prototypical triangle player. And Thanasis has the athletic juice we sorely lack. Fingers crossed.

Holeee Krapola! Thanasis looks great!

Just watched most of the first half and the guy looks phenomenal. He is way more competent on offense than he was just a little while ago. I don't know what happened, but he had numerous slick moves and he's a beast above the rim on defense. As our announcers noted, his brother is an incredibly fast learner. Looks like it runs in the family. Damn.

The guy looks like a bona fide PF, certainly a way bigger talent than anybody on the current Knicks roster. He's coming. He's definitely part of the future. I'm blown away.

Sanchez had some nice moves too, but TA is a sight for sore eyes. Bye bye Amar'e, Thanasis is in the pipeline. That guy is going to be our starting PF.

Splat @ 11/26/2014 1:54 AM
And Sanchez went nuts in the second half. Wow. That guy is very talented. We've got some talent in Westchester. Hope a few of them pan out. Strong looked good too. And Galloway has the stroke.

Thanassis had five blocks credited, but the guy also got a ton of deflections. He can change the tone of a game like Ibaka has done for OKC. He's a spider monkey, goes after EVERYTHING. I like him a lot.

What was very exciting was how many 2-way players are on the team. If Sanchez can become a consistent player, we're talking about two big bodies that can impact a game. Velly interwesting

The game is here on Youtube. It was more entertaining than any game by the main squad this year, so I'd recommend watching it.

I agree with all of this. It really is hard to describe the speed, energy, strength, athleticism, and intensity that Thanasis displayed on both ends of the court. I am convinced that Wear would be in Westchester if Thanasis came to camp. Also, some combination of JR, Shump, and or hardaway jr may need to be moved as Thanasis looks like a lot more than a rotational player. He was at a different level then anyone elseon the court tonight.
I hope MSG broadcasts more of the westchester games. I think their broadcast added a lot to the game experience.

its time to buy out Bargnani and make room for Thanasis!

Once the mid december deadline roles around, I don't see how Phil and Fisher can honestly make the argument to keep him over anyone on the DL roster.

Yeah, I don't recall feeling this way before or at least not that I can remember. I mean pretty much every rookie we've had the past ten years had moments which could make fans speculate about how good they would be like it may have happened initially with Shump or Nate. Lee was just a rebounder when he came into the league.

But when have we had a guy who can physically go apeshit on opponents, who can totally scramble them on defense like this? I don't recall any. Even if you go all the way back to enforcers like Oak or Mase, they were still big solid bodies doing their deeds. This kid looks different. He's a pogo stick with an attitude. What I saw last night kind of blew my mind.

There is no doubt he is taking over a starting spot next year. I'd prefer he stay in the D-League as long as possible to learn without pressure and to build his confidence. He showed some very good post moves that would be very hard for anyone to stop if he keeps perfecting that. I see Seth says he may never have a jumper, but I doubt that. This is a very gifted athlete.

When he was shooting fouls, they said his hands are so big it makes shooting more difficult, but his length and hands are pretty much weapons in all other respects so far.

They also said he might still be growing, but he's 22, so I don't know. He's 6'7", but he plays like he's 7'2", so it just doesn't matter. He can play power forward. I don't see why he'd not be perfect next to Melo.

Anyway, we've got our shot blocker for the future folks. He's a keeper.

And Sanchez was eye opening too. The only reason I won't gush about him too is I can see Thanasis is going to do this with regularity. I don't know yet if Sanchez will develop consistency. What I saw was an eruption of serious talent though. Sanchez CAN PRETTY MUCH DO ANYTHING ON THE COURT. He is that talented. Its a trip that he was a bench player in college last year. That is some damn fine scouting. If he becomes consistent, he looks like a beast too. My god, could we be so lucky?

Yeah, I was just saying this in another thread. The Antetekounpo (UGH, sp?) brothers seem to be very fast learners and very highly motivated and dialed in. Giannis has been developing very rapidly and can nearly run the point as a PF. If Thanasis even has 1/2 of his bro's potential we have a future starter in Westchester.

Im pretty pumped and I hope this kid continues to develop and gets a call up soon. We need him learning in the NBA, esp since this season is lost.
