They were down and had no business in the comeback

Your best player in midsts of a very very very bad Knick team losing streak in several years making of
a terrible team.

Carmelo is a superstar and one of my favorite NBA guys & a knick,
however forget the ref. bl_owing NBA timeout, MELO had 3-4 shots
when it counted when 1/2 Knick team played well in entire 4th last quarter

And our superstar in need of a BIG win at home Bricked 4 shots easily
shots wasnt even CLOSE to going in & down in hoop.

Embarrassing star ( I am big Melo fan on this board).
embarrassing team and this team should continue to be the losers they are period !

Dude, have you seen the spacing on the floor when the dude has the ball? Yes as the main man he has to carry us over some of these games, but our coaches have to coach him as well. Why did he play 3 quarters without rest? Specifically,when he is just returning from an ailment?

Throughout the game, I have not once seen a player set a pick for our shooters. That falls squarely on the coach

Melo should play no more than 36 and Amare 30. All this is going to do is hurt us in the long run. If we cnat win games playing Carmelo 36 minutes at home against poor teams--then we just have to say we sck. Can we go out and change the SG--Im sure they can do something.

Agree they did not set out to lose games and obviously who would--they get paid to play. If anyone watches Philly they dont "tank" per se either they just dont have the cogs to win. The players wont tank neither will the coach and this is not a Phil Jackson master plan. BUT now that we are here at the 1/4 season mark--theyd better think strongly about using Melo less whether win lose or draw in the best long term interests of the team.

He, melo wants to be in game end and wants the big shot.

This is NY and though many time, 90%.. Melo is and should not be blamed for the NY woes.

But you play a game like Melo, all about shots, which team follows suit and coaches too!
All this becomes is as non passing team on PERIMETER 100% , so what else is there to say eh?

Great post. Also, I am not sure when the Knicks forgot how fragile amare is. To go one year where you play him every other game for 10 minutes to the next year playing him 30+ minutes a game is an extreme switch in how they are handling his minutes.

Agree they did not set out to lose games and obviously who would--they get paid to play. If anyone watches Philly they dont "tank" per se either they just dont have the cogs to win. The players wont tank neither will the coach and this is not a Phil Jackson master plan. BUT now that we are here at the 1/4 season mark--theyd better think strongly about using Melo less whether win lose or draw in the best long term interests of the team.

hey Briggs I fully agree with the last point (use of Melo & minutes, pace)

I'd be crazy to say I wouldnt ever want my #1 star no. 7 have last say in shots and all.

But to quote few posters whom seem to agree with me Or slight see what I say
Knicks came back, Nets were folding, they (NY) played a lil D' and the offense was either making shots (Paublo, Shump,Amare,Larkin)
OR they drew few fouls to stop clock in a 2-3 point game.

Melo got passes the last times in game and I believe he threw ball back out as pass maybe twice ?
whenever he got a pass OR received something even thought time pressed , MELO threw shots up 3's 2's and BRICKED Them!
he missed his last 4 or so FG shots horribly, and wasnt in flow for rebounding or schemes where other players on court
seem they was not afraid of moment to make somethings happen, especially during worst losening streak at MSG I've seen.

But I am a huge MELO fan. Yes he isnt LBJ, he aint a aged Kobe, Aint Durant (but better at #7 age) Melo is a superstar
All in all he is our #1.

I aint giving #7 criticism cause he deserve anything, Whole team lost
But you want a big shot you want hero ending. We've not seen that from MELO anthony in LONG LONG LONG long times!

But he didnt have it last several minutes of game, he forced few shots even if didnt get calls (shoulda) and lets be real.
Before MELO injury/back this season, Melo Anthony has NOT had a good year.

LBJ can afford that (bad start) with his new CAVs and his 2 nba rings,
Kobe can have all bad games & horrid teams he wants with his 5 nba rings.

Melo isn't having his season yet, we need a win against a bad Brooklyn Nets team
Melo had his chances, chucked some shots where he was defended and missed badly.
Minutes yes a factor but his attitude is coming into play here, teammates were up for last 5 min. of tonight game
and most of them didn't see ball back when thrown into MELO who knows? Perhaps Melo woulda passed and get ball back
for BETTER pct. shots in last 3 bricks he flung up from the universe.

Why all 3's? that area I got a problem with the coach. Yes under 10 sec you may have to go for a 3, many times NY
was down 3 or even 2 pts and over 90sec left and Knicks like MELO wants to fling 3's from wherever he was & bricked.

Melo wins alot in this league and has great career, We/I hope continued greater NYK career to a banner ring 1 day in NYC
however I aint ashame to give my sole Opinion that #7 lost this game tonight, We at least could have got chance to go into O/T
a drive fouls shots to cut from 3 to 1, foul NETs again

and permiter sh_t starts and ends when you're losing NBA games to bad teams with Carmelo Anthony.

MELO 1-7 from 3pt. arc . Likely 3-4 of them 3pt-jumpers miss was last 2-3 min of game

but bad knees Or not Mr Stoudemire likely spends Double-the time in Tape rooms and workout gyms
than 1/2 the Knicks roster which his preparation shows much more consistency, something rarely seen from other knick players
