Knicks · Old Amare playing tonight (page 1)

Win or lose he was easily the best player on the floor tonight
smackeddog @ 12/4/2014 10:44 PM
Good to see- I've always liked him
CrushAlot @ 12/4/2014 10:55 PM
He looked great tonight. Acy, Hardaway, and Larkin all looked really good as well.

No Amare is too stupid to play good basketball. He's just shooting 65% over the last ten games--hes the reason why we stink.

Stat is fine...
If Carmelo will not be taking away his shots he will be a star again.

We always have old Amare. It's just that the meaning of the word old changes sometimes.
Seriously, he has looked very good this year. It is a contract year, though, and I think our best bet is to trade him unless he's given some kind of guarantee that he'd re-sign at a deep discount.

In the past whenever his play has improved and his minutes have increased he has broken down. So far that hasn't been the case this year. It would be great if he could continue to play at a high level. He certainly has worked hard to overcome a lot of adversity.

I agree on all points. It was nice watching him play last night. I'd like to have him back at 3 yrs, 9 mil like Briggs was proposing. We already paid him $100 mil after all.

I was watching the game and watching him literally keep us in the game with sheer will power and force, on BOTH sides of the ball... and yea... I thought of this board and all the people who think he simply cant play the game

It's only one game and not a perfect stat but we were +8 with him on and -11 with him off the court last night

He's had a few very good games. I dont really care... I mean at this point who cares if Amare gives you a good game, it just seems some around here cant accept the guy still has some game in him

Sell high.

His salary makes him unlovable until the trade deadline, then the team getting him is just on the hook for 7mil.
Can he make it to february?
If so, what is his value as a free agent? His bird rights really don't matter unless that team wants him back.

It can happen.

I think if there's any remote truth to the claim they're trying not to win now, they should be intensely exploring Amare trades right now.

They might be. We just don't know. His salary makes it really hard.
