The worst start in 45+ yrs years, wtf, he sucks, I'm telling you. For the first time this season I heard him a huddle and it was not good by any stretch of the imagination. He has not show me anything whatsoever that would indicate he will be a good coach, much less a great one.

I said the same thing a lil while ago. He is a quick learner, he might e good at the end. I simply think it is foolish to hire a guy who has no experience

Even if we exhumed Red Holzman for a DNA sample, crossed that with some of the same from a lock of Pop's hair and then Used that genetic material to clone a hybrid super coach in a lab then had him come coach this team I have a feeling we would still suck. I was one of the first poster to praise woodson, 10 games into him taking over. I was also one of the first posters to want him gone, right after the boston series. By the time we played Indi, he lost me completely, and it was just a matter of time before he was fully expose and lost his most loyal supporters
Fisher is a great guy to have on your coaching staff, but by no means is ready to be a head coach, not by far, I'm talking 5 to 6 years away.
I'm really questioning phil about this Hire, and will he ever admit he made a mistake. He just put together the worst roster in the franchise history.
He can potentially draft a number 2 pick like Derrik williams, or darko, and set this franchise back ten yrs..smh..this not looking good
I can't really speak to what Fisher is doing during the game, haven't seen enough of them. The results are undeniably bad but so is the collective BB IQ of this roster. What is more troubling to me right now about Fisher's coaching job is the smugness he sometimes shows towards his team during time outs, can't remember a coach taking it to this level. I watched Fisher make this passive aggressive comment to the team in a time out, in another game.
Fisher doesn't have to be a "ra ra" kind of coach to get his point across, but at the same time he can't act like he wishes he was somewhere else. Hasn't been easy for Fisher, not even getting respect from the refs, but he can't talk down down to them. Rookie coaches shouldn't carry themselves like this. Hope Fisher can do a better job relating to the players.
If you goal is to rebuild and you have your draft pick, which in the last 20 years is not a common event, Having the worst record in franchise history is a good thing.

Phil, the guy who has more rings than anyone is the guy that tabbed him. I'd give him some time.
Support the team by not being stupid. Not much to ask for.
Fisher's demeanor from my vantage point is less than confidence inducing. His emotionless affect seems to be hiding a world of confusion. I don't know about he is condescending to the players. I missed that timeout.
Brilliant- as we all know people never improve in their jobs or learn anything after the first 2 months- we all peak 2 months into any job (particularly when it's the first time we've done that sort of job).
Remind me, how did Jason Kidd look 20 games into last season with a superior roster? How does he look now? How can this be?! Someone getting better the longer they do their job?!
On top of a crap roster, he had no Calderone for the first month, and then an injured Melo once Calderon came back. But hey, let's just ignore all that and pretend it's all fishers fault.

I doubt anyone cares much who is the coach right now. Fisher may figure it out. His confusion does seem to be a factor in 4-16. But the team is not very good either way, so it is not like he needs to be crucified. This was not going to be a significant year even if we were coached by the ghost of John Woodsen.
But Kidd did adapt over the course of the season. We'll find out if Fish can. Winning or losing may not be the measure of that with this roster, but how he runs the team should still be evident.
Coaching is not for everyone. Just because he wanted to try it, doesn't mean he will be good at it. He did get paid a hell of a lot for a guy with no experience though. It is an expensive mistake if he's let go.
Let's bring back Woodson - one of the winningest coaches in our franchise history!
We do have dumb players, but now it's turning into dumber & dumber. He played Priggs 8 minutes, in those 8 minutes we held a 10 pt lead. he played him 2 minutes in the 2nd half. Priggs strip the ball from kyrie twice,he's a 40% 3 point shooter, he's a very smart player.. I have seen better rotations from a coach who coaches 6th graders.
I never seen a head coach get demoted to assistant, but if there was ever a time, this is it. Phil needs to take over for the rest of the season, and then maybe hand it back to fisher next yr. We need to develop a winning culture or else bringing in young talent will result in a long long development process.
There always will be something to complain about with rotations. However, I do think Prigs is one of our top players and should be on the court much more. I'd like to see him play all the backup PG minutes and maybe even occasionally SG with Calderon on the court.
If we had won last night, we would have matched last season's record after 20 games.
I agree that Fisher has not gotten the most out of this roster.
I think the bigger question is what the f happened to this roster from the 54 win season? And the year prior?
10 more days to the 15th. I have to assume players are going to be traded.
Where the F is Bargnani? He's worse than Eddy Curry and Jerome James. At least you knew where they were.
