Ha, you can't make this shit up!:

The New York Knicks were en route to their fifth straight loss last week against Brooklyn when a frustrated Tim Hardaway Jr. screamed angrily, "Get the rebound!''

Certain his second-year teammate was speaking to him, Carmelo Anthony approached Hardaway on the way down the court and used an expletive to ask Hardaway who in the world he thought he was talking to.

Anthony, according to sources, then used another expletive in telling Hardaway he was going to beat him up when they got into the locker room after the game.

Who was Tim talking to? The guy who's paid $25mil a year to lead a team that is 4-19. No one has the right to have delusions of grandeur with that record.

Splat @ 12/10/2014 11:37 AM
So.......

Melo and Tim hate each other

Nobody wants to play the triangle

Many of Melo's teammates called him a black hole to his face

No chemistry, boys been fighting

Players miss switching on defense (LOL)

Players pissed because Fish makes them practice hard and more often than Woodson

JR on trading block

Phil and Fish inherited a clusterfuk of a squad.

helloharv @ 12/10/2014 11:38 AM
thank you Nalod

Who does Timmy think he is ?

This is one of the worst articles I have read about the Knicks. Can't believe I pay 200 bucks for the league pass to watch us win lost every night and have guys almost coming to blows in the locker room.

The irony of Tim Jr telling someone to grab a rebound!

I just read this also. This proves to me that 90% of these players need to go. They really do have a loser mentality that Phil said they have. They complain last year about the switching defense and they complain this yea when we take out the switching defense. They say the triangle does not work because the teams know what they are going to do. The teams knew what the Bull and Lakers were going to do when they won something like 100 championships. The only difference is this team sucks and has a loser mentality. This is why I stopped watching them after that awful Wizards game. Shaq was easily pointing out how half hearted they were actually running the triangle and now they complain that it does not work. I can not wait until we send these losers packing.

I told everyone last night in the game thread

Going into a timeout this kid looked defeated

And I'm talking about discouraged quit the team down

He walked off the court so deflated and dejected

It's really really sad because I know this guy is a good kid

Then seeing the picture of Wear on The Daily News[I think just sitting there no burn]

These guys have to feel so miserable

Melo has essentially nailed the coffin shut on our free agency this summer

It's too difficult to play with him whether he's in the wrong or not

On how you feel about him personally

Fear not, they are pretty much all gone by next season- as there parting gift they will reward us for putting up with them by giving us a top pick. I think thats fair.

The thing is, does Tim Jr really have the right to tell other people to grab rebounds, stop chucking and play defense? Thats why I take umbrage at players pointing the finger rather than looking in the mirror.

L O Fucking L

Sources said the most tension exists between Anthony and Hardaway as they haven't cared for one another almost since Hardaway joined the team last season, with each player believing the other shoots too much and doesn't care about defense.
smackeddog @ 12/10/2014 11:47 AM
Last year, under Woodson, the Knicks switched on defense. This year, under Fisher, they don't switch, which has some players grumbling.

Also, the day after losses, Woodson would typically hold voluntarily workouts that were light and non-demanding. Fisher, however, holds full-fledged practices and works the players hard.

P A T H E T I C

get the hell off my team you lazy, soft, self entitled bums

The funny thing is that they are both right about the other and both wrong that they don't see those same flaws in themselves.

GoNyGoNyGo @ 12/10/2014 11:48 AM
Nothing to read here...move on.

Is it really a surprise that his teammates don't think he is a team player? When Melo is out of the game the ball moves. As soon as he returns, he sets up weakside so that he can get himself into an ISO.

Melo plays the game half-heartedly. Its obvious to anyone watching. There is no passion. Let's not forget how great Linsanity was...and how the ball finally found everyone. As soon as Melo got back, it all ended. Yes, I realize that Lin has not been that great since but has Melo done anything either?

THis is just another chapter of selfish Melo stories. George Karl and MDA wrote the first few chapters and Woodson wrote the next under a pseudonym. Now its Fish's turn.

I am only shocked that the Zen Master actually re-signed Carmelo. That surprised me. I hope to be wrong because all I want is NY to win but I really cannot see it with Melo being the main piece.

As for Hardaway, GOOD for him!

Splat @ 12/10/2014 11:48 AM
Melo doesn't seem to like competition from other shooters on the team. Even though Tim has never been a ball dominant player (he pretty much is catch and shoot), I have to wonder if Melo has emotional issues in sharing the spotlight. It is not like Tim is some big star, but his function overlaps with Melo as a scorer.

The prima donna in Melo just doesn't relate well to others when he is not deferred to. Unfortunately, this will continue to be an issue regardless of any upgrades in talent level.

Nalod @ 12/10/2014 11:50 AM
Great article. This core did not respond to Woodson and now Fish. Guess what, the system stays.
If this article is true, and Phil has been quoted that Melo should do more, as well well as Melo himself, then the system is working.
My take is all of Phil's team resisted. My take is even Jordan had to figure it out. It happens with discomfort and in this system its the players who figure it out.
Phil used to take time out and while not the norm, at times the players would talk it thru, figure it out and then go back out. The epicenter of that was leadership from Kobe and Jordan.
Melo either has simply taken the money or he agreed to a strong leadership position. 21 games is not enough to say he can't do this. 21 games is not a career. Maybe Karl never asked him to, MDA might have just wanted him to respond, and Woodson I think Coddled him.

My take is Melo wants this and its not easy. Im ok with all of this. Let them fight, let the those who can't be banished. THjr might just earn Melo's respect in the long run. Maybe THjr is asking for melo to step up and be the leader.

Wanting Fish to yell more? Show more emotion? If thats what our guys want, phuck that, they are looking for excuses. They don't like hard practices? Phuch that, they need to be in shape and get this triangle down as instinct.

Other teams know its coming? Then execute it!!! If so they can't stop it. If they are, its because Knicks are not doing it right.

Im fine with this article and perhaps this is how you change the culture!!! Somtimes its peaceful, sometimes its hard.
Is anyone suprised? Im not. If IM trying to change a group I go at it hard. Pointing figures would have to be part of the process. The culture cannot change until there is buy in.
Read Phils books.

In "Phish" We Trust

This may yet be Phil's higher value to the franchise: his Will. It may be stronger than Melo's. And Phil is not afraid to embarrass Melo and we know Melo is afraid of that. Phil may be the first guy who stands up to Melo.

I don't give a damn about the rest of the squad since none may be here soon. But the Melo riddle has to be solved. There is no choice. I'd like to see Phil win. It is his only hope at success really.

Who cares are you going to get stuck on trivial matters

Or pay attention to his $60mil boss who said he needs to

FLESH OUT HIS GAME and specifically mentioned ASSISTS AND REBOUNDS

So although THJR is craptastic at rebounding he's still right

Hey I can be a serial rapist and say 1+1=2

Just because I'm evil doesn't mean I don't know things that are right

Soooo this article doesn't seem a little too far fetched to anyone? I don't doubt that guys have a problem with Melo as hes been slowly reverting to his iso ways but to tell time hes gonna beat him up when they get back to the locker room? Seems a little ridiculous...
newyorknewyork @ 12/10/2014 11:53 AM
A lot of this stuff seems to outlandish to be true. But if it is true then WOW.
