In the grand scheme of things....if we stay in the lottery and end up getting one of these guys, was it worth it?

We might have to wait to see who we draft before thinking about who we should sign. Like if we get a big, we are going to need to play them alot, not just make them sit behind Gasol, Monroe, Robin Lopez or whoever you want to throw money at.

To me both Delon Wright and Jerian Grant with Dangelo Russell are the best PGs prospects in the draft. All 3 are different but they are all big PG's.

I mentioned this kidd the other day Zach Auguste--hes going to explode up the draft line. Hes a powerfully built 6-10 245 PF with serious bounce for ND

I personally wish that this can go into the NBA forum. Its not knicks talk.

i have no idea why towns is behind kaminsky...kaminsky is good, verstile but i think were seeing him peak ability.towns has a word of potential

I would be very satisfied with Stein but only if Towns and Ok4 are off the board.

I think Stein can have a Tyson like career in a few years with more blocks and maybe slightly better offensive moves. Not just dunks like Tyson.
We could definitely use that kind of player if we are picking 3-7.

Towns and Ok4 have much bigger upside I think. Like 18-23pts, 8-12rebs

Towns may not be as polished offensively as Ok4 but he can potentially bring more to the table while Ok4 can top off as Al Jefferson

That's funny, I think the same thing about Okafor. If we ended up with the first overall I would cross my fingers and pick Towns. He's still raw and not playing a ton of minutes but he has, I think, the highest potential in the draft.

We have to do that anyway; free agency begins after the draft.

We have the third worst record in the league and our own draft pick. How is this not Knicks related?

because we are talking about players who have zero to do with the knicks.

its the same as all these fantasy trade threads that are pointless

just my opinion ... I have OCD when it comes to unread posts ... I just have to click

That's what I'm getting at. MOST Of The names thrown around are big men/centers....we might need to start talking about perimeter players or guys that are primary 4s or tweeners to play with Melo on the wings. The draft is all about the big man this year.

yea absolutely. We've been talking about guys like Jimmy Butley, reggie jackson, Affalo, Leonard & Harris.

Young guys not 30+ year old bigs who will demand max

There is almost no doubt in my mind that I would take Stein before Towns. I understand that towns might have more offensive skills--has shown a nice all around game rebounding blocking shots--hes younger hes 6-10 260 etc... but I think Stein has become a player who has a smaller risk profile has upside on offense rebounds and could be a multiple NBA defensive POY type.

BRIGGS @ 12/15/2014 8:14 PM
Ok4 does look like a full Duncan clone tonight with his rebounding. We will see some more bonafides when they play CT Thursday.
BRIGGS @ 12/15/2014 8:50 PM
Ok4 tonight 25 points 20 rebounds 3 blocks 2 steals

In my opinion there is no question that he is head and shoulders above Towns. Towns's weak side defense and offensive potential have been overrated.

StarksEwing1 @ 12/16/2014 8:15 AM
I reallty want Ok4. Undfortunetly as bad as we are philly are a little bit worse.

Very rarely does the team with the worst record get the first pick. I have no idea if that is factually true, but it's what I'm choosing to believe!

smackeddog @ 12/16/2014 3:15 PM

I always think he doesn't look as tall as he's listed, and his arms don't look as long as billed either. He looks smooth with those post moves though.

gunsnewing @ 12/16/2014 3:26 PM
Ok4 is only 19. He might still be growing. We certainly need his paint presence whether at PF or C. Ideally PF where he will be a matchup nightmare like Duncan and Anthony Davis. You can always sign a cheap complimentary 7ft Center
