Ok4 is only 19. He might still be growing. We certainly need his paint presence whether at PF or C. Ideally PF where he will be a matchup nightmare like Duncan and Anthony Davis. You can always sign a cheap complimentary 7ft Center

I agree- who do you put next to him? Definitely not Greg Monroe

gunsnewing @ 12/16/2014 4:01 PM
No. They would be recreating Monroe/Drummond. How about ok4 & stein

Seriously though any cheap young athletic 7 footer who can block some shots will do. Sanders, Biyombo?
Guys like Robin lopez, asik, one of Denvers centers would do but they can't clog the paint. Deandre, a younger TYSON, would be perfect but we won't be able to afford that kind of player. Anyone who will compliment Ok4. Monroe would be redundant. Can't have a center who will clog the paint.

If we had legitmate PF with TYSON we would've faired a lot better. Not Melo or defense-allergic and injury riddled Amare

Not sure but when you have a demon in the paint like ok4 finding a serviceable one becomes much easier. I gave some examples with Biyombo or one of Denvers centers or even someone sitting on the bench in a numbers crunch. Don't necessarily need to sign a center like Robin Lopez for $10mil+ When you have Ok4 at the 4

gunsnewing @ 12/16/2014 4:18 PM
Oh and I think Ok4 would look great wearing #4 for the Knicks
dodger78 @ 12/19/2014 1:28 PM
I understand that him playing in China is making it tough to follow his development but within all the big man candidates how does Mudiay look like? You can hear Westbroom comparisons...
Montrezl Harrel relly looks great to me as well, hes got a,Kawhi Leonard like motor!!!
Obviously there are some great great center prospects in the draft... my list would be Okafour, Towns and Caulley-Stein are a wash for me right now... both amazing two way ürospects!

See, the thing that puts me off Mudiay is, is that it's going to be very difficult to make up this year in terms of his development- this is a crucial time for young players, and to squander it in china and being injured- it just rarely seems to end well.

Getting Ok4 is like getting a Lebroin James Hakeem Olajuwon Patrick Ewing. He might not be the defender in the post that youd want--but his all around physical impact will be upper upper tier I can see it already hes a super star of superstars a real game changer.

I agree that Okafor projects as an upper tier all-star.

Mudiay also projects as an all-star in my opinion - the potential/risk ratio drops more substantially after pick 2.

I also feel there are safety picks like Stein Hazrell and Kaminsky. Each has a low risk profile. We cant afford a bust --that is so paramount to this organization. That is why I have Towns below the top 5 and I dont think we pick below 5

I'm close
I think stein is in the top 5
Ok4
Mudiay
Stein
Harrell
Johnson

I don't think we get past 5.

BRIGGS @ 12/21/2014 9:07 PM
1. Jahill Okafor PF
2. Emmanuel Mudiay G/PG
3. Willie Stein C
4. Montrezl Harrell PF
5. Stanley Johnson F
6 Delon Wright PG
Ive lowered my count to 6 as it appears as if we will not draft lower. I believe this will be very close to what our draft board looks like.

Down on Towns? He's draftexpress' and nbadraft.net's #3 prospect. And he's the guy I'd like if we get the #1 pick because of his defense.

I couldnt take a guy that high based on potential with where we are. These first 5 are explosive two way athletes. Towns body is soft--he would atleast need to show a lot more--just my opinion.
