melo denied it?

whew ... that was damn close

sidsanders @ 12/12/2014 2:35 PM
why would there be an admission? deny it and keep quiet. dont feed the media. doesnt mean it isnt true. he should say its not true i would waive it... for just any destination...

thats where im going i suppose. for the folks who hate the guy to claim victory and those that defend him with this to claim it is odd to me. i suspect if the right team has a trade offer he will waive the NT easy. as of now, he wont. neither of the cliques on this site will be happy with that it seems.

Splat @ 12/12/2014 2:43 PM
Derp! Melo said no. No means no! Derp!
GoNyGoNyGo @ 12/12/2014 2:46 PM
Of course he says no..now...

Phil will start releasing more embarrassing info now. This is all planned and rehearsed ( i hope!).

Queue Lala wanting to get out of NY for her career.

Here Here order restored

No reason to believe Phil told Melo to "flesh out his game"

More like Phil told him he's going to "flush out the dead brains"

We gotta believe in the things that won't betray our hearts

Well what do you expect him to say. No player will publicly say they would like to be traded

Or common sense say he actually doesn't want to be traded, at least this early in the process. If we are in year 2 and nothing has changed, than that probably will be the case. But the NY media lives for drama to get more hits than their competition and they know the knee-jerking knicks fans are feeding into it like crazy. Seems like a much more logical explaination than "melo doesn't believe in phil anymore after 25 games of rebuilding, wants out right now." Melo isn't going anywhere, let's be serious and stop falling for all of this.

some players avoid the question. Some write "all alone" on their shoes...

Why take my word for it... here are the quotes from everyone's hero:

“Come on, man, after all the work I did to get here and get back here, if I was to get up and want to leave now, that would just make me weak, make me have a weak mind,” Anthony said before Friday’s game against the Celtics. “I’ve never been the person to try run from any adversity or anything like that. So I’m not going to pick today to do that.”

“I don’t really know what to say to that. I guess it’s just what happens when you hit the wall of adversity and everything is a snowball effect,” said Anthony, who is listed as doubtful and appears likely to miss his second consecutive game Friday with left-knee soreness. “I guess it comes with the territory. Whether it’s fair or not, it comes with the territory.

“You know the cure to all of this is winning, and that’s what we have to do, win some basketball games. I’ve been here before, I’ve lost some games and had all types of things written about me, written about the team. It’s gonna happen.”

“Yeah, yeah, for sure,” Anthony said when asked if he’s bothered by his commitment to the Knicks being questioned. “I guess when you’re losing games everything gets questioned. That’s the state where we’re at as a team. That’s the state we’re at as individuals, or should I say myself. But it comes with the territory. It’s gonna be for me to kind of defend myself, but at the end of the day, that’s not gonna prove nothing, that’s not gonna do anything.

“I mean, losing is frustrating. I don’t want to lose. We don’t want to lose. Coming into this season, this is not what I expected, what we expected, but we’re here now. There’s nothing we can do about the previous 20, 24 games. It’s only about (Friday) against Boston and moving forward. There’s no need to cry over what already happened. We’ve just got to fix it."

Asked how he’s been dealing with the constant losing and mounting criticism, Anthony added: “We wouldn’t be sitting here talking about that if we were winning. So it comes with the territory. We have to deal with it - I have to deal with it. I accept it. That doesn’t make it right, but I accept it.”

i dont hate or love melo. I accept his strengths and weaknesses. However if he wants to be here he needs to be more committed to other parts of the game other than scoring

No need to give a visual of Nalod's man stuff

I'm sure he doesn't appreciate specing out 2 inches

means nothing. He could strap a lie detector test and answer the same way. And be lying.

As Mike Lupica said today on his show about this - every story has its source. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

So this didn't come from Melo? Who did it come from? Was it a legit NBA Source (agent, front office person at Knicks?)

I think it is only a matter of whether there is a good enough deal out there for both Phil & Melo.
