Knicks · 9-17 With Felton and 2-11 With Calderon (page 1)

F500ONE @ 12/14/2014 10:42 PM
Extrapolate Calderon's record X 2

For a larger sample that's 4-22 by winning %

We're currently 5-21 overall, so in actuality we're

Worse since he's returned from a strain calf injury

And if I'm not mistake Felton had to start last year

Without the trouble making skull dangerous keep out Tyson Chandler

He missed 4gms early but by the time we had 21 losses as a team we had 9 wins

But if you factor in the games played with Felton missing 4 early and us losing each one of them

We were actually 9-17 with Felton and no Tyson after the first 4gms

Looks like Phil and some Knick fans have some splainin to do

You are such a ... You know it really is just that simple to look at things in such a simplistic and immature way as to look at the results so far this year in totally different circumstances and try to make some point. It's posts like this that just make the entire experience on this forum so much LESS than it used to be. If you actually made a valid point it would be one thing but you spend about a half second to come up with these inane points and then spew them into threads. We all know things haven't gone as expected this year but it's not a simple formula to figure out what went wrong so far nor what moves made sense or not. What exactly is your point? Felton wasn't going to be a part of the future of this team and we all know Jose isn't the long term answer either, so what is your point?

If everything worked out perfectly this year it still would be a team in a transition year and we'd still be looking for a long term answer at PG. Jost made sense for this style of play and he's getting his game back but he's got limitations which we all knew before the season. He's not our biggest problem and Felton wasn't our solution to our problems either. Let's see what Phil does with this team for the future we know this hasn't been good but nothing you're saying here addresses the teams issues so what is the point of even bringing up Felton?

Oh god, who cares. Felton or not, Jose is just not that good and we're stuck with a very high priced bench player.

People have been complaining about the forum long before F5 started with the double spacing posting. My guess is its the team not the forum

markvmc @ 12/14/2014 11:14 PM
I don't get why some of you still want to win games.

Actually trading for Jose may work

In a way Phil not intended, with the payoff being the draft

But of course eye test said the subtraction of Felton

And the addition of Calderon wasn't taking us to new heights

They are both lower middle road point guards

Who don't impact team winning enough to have them playing major roles

Now it's Jose's salary as you state which could restrain us some

We're going to need every dime available to overpay as much as possible this summer

Well wasn't part of the reason this team

Hasn't performed up to expectations was the early absence of Calderon

Did you feel the absence of Tyson last year impacted

What Felton could have done point guard wise

Since Woodson ran a different system

Why was Felton so heavily blamed

And if you now want to resort to players who are no longer

Here would have never been part of a solution, can you not

Reason today we have players on the team who aren't solutions either

Players became relevant only after team have system and identity.
Felton, Calderon... who cares. This team is 2-3 years away from being good.
Nobody will remember their names....

No they don't- they're just pretending they do so they can complain more and go on about how they were right (their primary interests).

This post makes no sense

I predicted the team would win 34wins

Why would I root for more losses[outside of lottery prospects]

In order to be proven right, actually this team has managed to go on course

To prove me wrong, if they continue at this pace they won't sniff 30wins

So rooting for losses only makes me look foolish from a predictive perspective

Shame on me for not understanding THE SUCK of this team

Back to the subject matter here, Calderon has had a few decent shooting performances

But why hasn't he elevated the level of team play where it shows up in the W column

When Felton was here Tyson missed 20gms in a row after playing the first 4

This yr we heard the team was suffering because of the absence of Calderon

When you take the first 20-25gms out the gate factoring injuries in both yrs

Felton managed to keep the Tank on land and then much later onto the battle field

Calderon instead has pushed the Tank into deep waters and now it's a Submarine

I know there are many ways to die and Jose is making sure we Sub-Die Harder
