I can't believe they traded for Jennings in the first place- It was like Dumars was trying to get fired!

Two more years after this one. It's basically unprecedented in the NBA.

No that wasn't it, he got tired of seeing the garbage play on court
I saw the game yesterday, there was a play late I know that sealed it
Typical Josh Smith garbage on the perimeter SVG had enough
I mean how long can one watch horrific play

It's expensive, but sometimes you need immediate surgery to remove any chances of cancer spreading.
Any way he fits in on this team? He blocks shots... and has untold versatility as a point forward. Think Lamar Odom but more athletic...

Well 5-21 doesn't suggest a quick move
Although I applaud what this move stands for
SVG wouldn't fall for anything
I bet you had some Detroit fans going Briggs style on Josh Smith
Saying if he made $3-4mil/yr he wouldn't be a bad player and could be useful
SVG begged to differ, what a Man move

Josh came to Detroit because they had money to spend. He has been dogging his whole time there.
Historically josh had been a stat stuffer in the regular season, but always took his game to the next level in the playoffs with Atlanta.
He is worth the pick up
Ha- Dolan would probably have traded a first an second round pick for him!
Looks like Monroe will stay in Detroit for the max.

He is worth the pick up
Dumars thought he was worth the pickup and got burned by the Lava
SVG got singed a tad by the Ash, no he's not worth the pickup
We need to sign him as our starting SF and encourage him to shoot threes and long two's- our tank would be UNSTOPPABLE!

YEP!

"Our team has not performed the way we had expected throughout the first third of the season and adjustments need to be made in terms of our focus and direction," coach and team president Stan Van Gundy said in a statement."We are shifting priorities to aggressively develop our younger players while also expanding the roles of other players in the current rotation to improve performance and build for our future. As we expand certain roles, others will be reduced. In fairness to Josh, being a highly versatile 10-year veteran in this league, we feel it's best to give him his freedom to move forward. We have full respect for Josh as a player and a person."
SVG saving Phil from himself and us

For the minimum? Yes he is

why would he be a lock to resign, they have the same record is us with him. Clean house

Not for our team maybe for a team with Championship habits and roster
Even then it's hella risky for the low reward you may receive
The price of a player doesn't make a player good
He's a bad PLAYER period and when Mike Woodson has you summed up as a bum
That tells everyone all they need to know
Mike Woodson was spot on with two players Smith and Shumpert

Max contract- Detroit an offer him more money

You mean you think he would go with the money, that would make him just like melo, and according to the melo haters, anyone taking max money from their current team is a greedy S.O.B..or does that only apply to melo.

Didn't he want to leave because Josh Smith was there? I think he resigns.
Looks like Josh will be heading to Houston to join his buddy D12. So much for trading Melo to Houston
Pistons using stretch provision on Smith.

Could be an interesting development
You got D-Mo, T-Jo, and Jo-S
Terrence Jones could be a 2016 target
If our options are still open

He is worth the pick up
To be fair, Josh shouldn't shoulder the entire blame. The minutes he signed, people wondered how he was going to fit in with Drummond and Monroe. Smith was forced to take on a role he wasn't suited for. That ultimately falls on Joe Dumars.
