Wth are they doing?

Anyway it looks like all of their players are up for grabs. They have alot of good young players on the roster, lots of assets. They could take on Melo and we could be handsomely compensated Any thoughts?

I'm not sure that Melo would fit into what Ainge is looking to do. Isn't he basically headed towards a Philly approach? Clear the decks and start with draft picks? I could be wrong but that's what I thought his goal was.

then trade all there picks for a super star like they did with KG and cleveland did with LOVE, thats exactly what Phil needs to do

We have nothing that would interest them. They're collecting young players, draft picks, and saving cap space so why would they be interested in Melo right now especially right after trading away Rondo. And Melo has a full no-trade clause; why would he waive it to join Boston?

All good questions.

But why do they have so many picks and so many prospects? They gotta make a move sooner or later.

They already drafted alot of good guard talent and front court talent. They have too many assets. They could get melo and another player to mix in with the youth. They have young talent in excess.

then they have the nerve to bench guys. I dunno its a weird situation over there.

But i could see them trading for Melo and dragic. Stranger things have happened.

wright, Melo, zeller, dragic, and maybe jr smith would make sense for them in their system.

Hypothetical stiff guys just saying. Ain't shit else to talk about
KNICKSBIGCATS @ 12/24/2014 4:05 PM
Celtics are much too smart to take on a loser/egocentric player that is Melo.
I hate this sonamabeech.
Nalod @ 12/24/2014 5:14 PM
Anythoughts?

One could say they could make a run for any numbers of players. Durant is free next year. Celtics could sign and trade for Butler or Gasol with some pieces still to put a team together.

A 30 year old Melo with a no trade clause to boston to rebuild? Why would he do that?
he has that here!

I can dig the idea that they are just stockpiling waiting to strike. Or hoping so they draft sticks....

they currently have sullinger and olynyk in their dog house. The guys they got from Dallas are playing big minutes already. It's weird.

The year they won the championship, they did the same thing. They acquired a lot of picks and traded them for Garnett and Ray Allen. Call them stupid if you want to, but they recently won a tittle and went back to the finals the following year.
