right.
then shump got the timely injury.
sad
Once again Knicks passed up or get unlucky on a great trade deal, I have no clue why we even hesistated on this one, a pretty decent pg( remember we had freaking Felton at the time) and a talented SF :(
Why they played shump in that game made no sense. I think the clips delayed taking off because they were still contemplating the deal after shumps injury.
None.
which maybe is a sign that the trade was not close.
Looked like Phil did not want any trades.
3 trades that did not happen:
Lowry Teague Collison
way to go phil

I don't think Phil was in charge when those deals were in place if my memmory serves me correct. they were in febuary or whenever the trade deadline was when Steve Mills was in charge

Yup, pretty obvious Phil wanted to assess the players he had, thus no trades. Thus why no trades even now.
smackeddog@ 12/28/2014 5:48 AM
Why do people still go on about us not trading Shump for Collinson?! For the last time!!!::
IF WE HAD TRADED FOR COLLINSON, WE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD HIS BIRD RIGHTS (he was on a one year deal with the clips). WE COULD ONLY HAVE OFFERED HIM $3MIL. THE KINGS PAID HIM MORE THAN THAT. THEREFORE WE WOULD HAVE TRADED SHUMP FOR NOTHING- WELL DONE KEYBOARD GM's!!!!!!!
I hope he follows all of your advices in future!

Its like watching what D'Antoni did to Kobe! Kobe's minutes prior to the achilles injury were insane (especially for a player his age), something like 47mins, 48mins, 48mins, 46min, 47mins.
Anji@ 12/28/2014 9:02 AM
Don't the knicks have a Nice 1 year exception.....why isn't Josh Smith a knick???

That was all KOBE!!! He wasn't listening to MDA at all at that time so MDA let him do what wanted. That's why you saw no reaction from MDA when it happened. I was watching all the games and it was clear Kobe did what he wanted.

Yeah because D'Antoni never had a history of running players into the ground
In particular when he knew he was lame duck status
And alienated a presence who could have lessened the burden on Kobe
I watched the Lakers that season and saw quite the contrary

Well he was hurt and had no business going back in. It was horrible to watch. I believe he got hurt two times and still came back until he tore the Achilles. Kobe definitely is strong willed but D'Antoni needed to sit him that game. I am not a Kobe fan but that was one of the saddest sports events I can remember watching.

You're pretty slow to adjust your bias in real time
If Shump were plus 50 with 38 points, 12 assists and six steals you probably wouldn't be able to spare a compliment for a game well played
Actually I've given credit to 2 players
Tonight Melo and Cole neither are my fancy
But sorry Kings backcourt have had greater impact
On the game I will not oversell anyone on this team
I kind of like THJR but he didn't play well enough
To give crazy kudos to him because he turnt up late
who cares how sac's back court did?
they were wide open off cousins killing us down low.
wtf does that have to do with how larkin played?
Because you have to play both sides of the ball
When players go off for career nights
You can't leverage the other side too much over the other
And PUH-LEEEZE don't use this game to pull the
"We should have picked up his option"
From Keith Schlosser:
"Shane Larkin arguably had one of the best games of his young career, tallying 14 points and a career-high 4 steals. In addition to serving as a pesky defender throughout, the guard went about his offensive game in an intelligent matter. He attacked the basket, and converted on all six of his free throws."

To each his own, I never said Larkin
Played the whole game bad
He didn't play "GREAT" or "VERY GOOD"
He was solid or let's say held his own
It was arguably one of Collison's better games of the yr
As was McCallum's and Stauskas guys Larkin got cross-matched with
