Knicks · The Knicks are just horrible (page 1)

Nothing more to discuss.

We have a bunch of nobodys on the roster....like Cole Alrich, Acy, Jason smith, larkin, Travis wear, Early who's been hurt. These guys are rookies or guys that simply never did anything in this league worth a damn and now being asked to start for an nba team and be an impact player on both ends.

With a core group of losers we been carryng around the last few years in Amare, shump, jr smith and Bargnani who hasn't even played a game yet.

Add in the one dimensional guys like thjr, priggy, Dalembert, Calderón...

all "lead" by the most unconscious scorer in today's game. He's not a leader. He can get his shot off and defend in spurts but he's not a leader of men.

Now how are we supposed to win a game with this group? It's not a fluke that we are this garbage.

Fisher is a smart guy with a great coaching staff. We just don't have the talent. Match us against any nba team and you will find that their talent is simply better with proven players.

Phil ha got to get rid of the entire core group I mentioned and start to fill in pieces that fit. We're going to have to be patient, but if Phil wants the culture change he's got to get rid of this low class group of guys. I'd rather lose with dignity that get embarrassed with these goons

Any suggestions to Phil on this obvious task?
If you have no assets and no players with any king of value what GM can do except of wait until all of them will expire?
There is nothing to show and nothing to lose except of cup space.
They can have customary call to every team with something of interest on the market but no one will talk.
NBA knows Phil is not the one to get used and will not take any garbage or future salary.
So Phil will hibernate... its winter out there...

If you are talking about Chandler/Felton trade it was the smart move to gear up for Tanking and reset.
Tyson was the last piece of value we had. Calderon is not bad if he will have some players to work with in the triangle.
Plus he can be included in trades and get some 2nd rounder along the way.
If Melo had a little piece of desire to win and sign elsewhere keeping Tyson was a better option.
But Melo wanted 126 mils which set us up fro 3-5 years of sucking and rebuild.
Phil had no chance to get read of Melo... he brigs too much revenue to MSG (to offset Phil contract expenses by the way too).
You cannot have the biggest sport circus of the world without biggest clowns.

EnySpree @ 12/29/2014 9:35 AM
Well at a certain point if Phil can't move these guys, then he has to waive them.

Amare, shump, jr and Bargnani.... that's 4 slots to call guys up from the d league or start issuing 10 day contracts.

I'm willing to wait the 2 months but if these teams are blowing smoke up or asses I would rather do what Stan the man did

CrushAlot @ 12/29/2014 9:38 AM
I like the Knickerblogger suggestion of going after Waiters or Stephenson. Both guys value is low right now, both are very talented and young.

Stevenson and Waiters in the same backcourt? How awesomely annoying would we be for teams to face

LOL. Brilliant. Hope you don't mind that I took this as my signature (with proper attribution to the author, of course)...

I would question whether this is the worst team in NY Knicks history. Based on record, it might be. That's scary.

It's the worst I can remember. They have a handful of guys that really don't belong in the league getting major minutes. Thank god they actually have their pick for a change.

Knicks1969 @ 12/29/2014 11:01 AM
This team is lacking talent and good coaching.

So no one wants our guys who's value has diminish in this system, but were stupid enough to go after other players who's values have diminish on their respective teams.

Dude this sounds of desperation

Your asking players to go from 6th grade to college..those are the roles fish is asking most of his (suppose to be bench) players to play in.

They go from 10, 11, 12th option a yr ago, to the 2, 3,4th option as far as roles..Go figure, then you throw the triangle at them and tell them to forget everything you've ever learn, this is how will play for now on, no buts about it.

Just cause he has a good relationship with most players, go be a damn counselor

No shit Sherlock.

In the past six games, courtesy of MSG Network, Knicks opponents are shooting 25 of 41 from 3-point land (61 percent). That’s embarrassing — but not to Fisher.
The Blazers sank six of nine 3-pointers in the first quarter, with free-agent-to-be Wesley Matthews draining 3-of-5. Matthews had 19 points after 14 minutes on his way to tying his career high with 28 points.
Fisher’s contention is it’s more important the Knicks defend the paint, keep teams off the free-throw line and deny easy buckets than worrying too much about 3-point line coverage. It’s an old-school philosophy that has the basketball sabermetric crowd in a tizzy.
Fisher shrugged off Portland’s 3-point

Our coach say it's ok for teams to light your ass up for 3's as long as you defend the paint, which the knicks are just as bad..

Then people say it's not the coach..smfh..My god we need to pray

This old school defensive philosophy is not his, its phils!

Along with the stupid archaic triangle.

Phil is showing his age.

There is a reason why nobody really agrees or buys into zens philosophy anymore. ITS OUTDATED. HE IS OUTDATED.
