David Blatt will be the first to go before Lebron leaves
If you are going to make a very bold statement like that, at least copy and paste the article and say why you agree with it.
I love how people try to pretend we're in a "post-racial era". Scroll down and read the comments section then tell me otherwise.
As for the article, it is ridiculous. LeBron will retire a Cav.
I just don't see him leaving Cleveland- it would be a horrific PR hit. However, if the Cavs crash and burn this season and Kevin Love leaves, then I can see the temptation for Lebron. I still think the Cavs turn things around with a couple of mid season trades.

Yeah, that post-racial era stuff is otherwise known as wishful thinking/denial by people who feel uncomfortable discussing the issues. I always think comments sections on the internet show the worst that humanity has to offer- youtube comments being rock bottom.

I always thought comment sections just showed what people really thought in a world where there would not be repercussions for what they said. Bigotry and racism still exists, the main difference is that is is no longer overt. Look at the rate that races do crime and then look at the rate those same races are arrested for the same crime. For instance whites and blacks smoke weed at the same rate overall. Black people are 4 times more likely to be arrested for it. If arrested for the same crime black people are more likely to get longer sentences. With stop and frisk blacks make up only 25 to 30 percent of the population of NY and they are 90% of the people who are stopped and frisked. 85% of the people stopped by stop and frisk were found to have done nothing wrong. Maybe it is just me but those are some interesting numbers.
As you type, they can post what they really believe without a real name and repercussions. But, sadly, race relations have really deteriorated especially in the last few years and I believe the blame is evenly distributed. I'm an old timer, and I have never seen this country so racially divided. Its really sad.

Just like a relationship with a family member--any problems between races should be met with high quality communications and thoughtful follow through. We're all in this country together and we can always strive for a better way of life for every last person. It's important that people with wealth spread their wings to ensure that many more people have higher wage jobs and better education. Wealth redistribution better communication and a country committed to a higher quality education for all citizens will lead down the pathway for a better way of life for more people and will help narrow the lines of racism and inequalities for the masses. It all starts from the people we vote into government. Make sure your voice is heard by voting and make sure the person you vote for has a viewpoint that is on the side of all people. I think the next President can start by making sure the police forces around the US are mandated to be racially balanced and new laws in which police engage any person are brought out and executed. Make sure that the person you vote for has a big viewpoint on the need for a higher quality education for every person and every town. Make sure they are committed to a higher minimum wage that taxes are redistributed in a careful way. Make sure that we are committed to new integration policies. Thats where it all starts. On a personal level each individual can do their best to always improve their own habits towards others. If you have a positive outlook on life and go an extra mile to be courteous respectful and caring towards others--it goes a far way.

Its more publicized now due to social media allowing ppl to express there thoughts without repercussions as you stated. Which just shows that it has always been this racially divided and there has actually been improvement which is even more sad.

To add, there has to be a lot more focus on the development of kids (especially in ghettos) ages 1-10. More and better programs to expand there minds. As well as assistance in parenting. "It takes a community to raise a child", so if the community is messed up it will only stunt a kids growth. As a kid could be in the drug game by the age of 9-10. Not as an actual drug dealer but a look out or something. The ability to make a little money and lack of understanding of actual repercussions are to tempting.
Just like rebuilding, there needs to be a structured plan in place to develop and expand kids minds, assistance in parenting, as well as networking within the community to get everyone to get to know and be familiar with each other.
Also just to throw this in here as well though kind of off topic. Anyone on welfare should be forced to work for the government in some capacity.
Now in hindsight.....maybe Lebron should have stayed in Miami lol.
I got a Co worker that says they will come out the east this year. Maybe but they don't scare anyone. They don't play championship defense and they don't like the coach. Lebron just doesn't look like himself. Lebron can get numbers but he doesn't look as engaged as we're accustomed to seeing. Sad shit.
they need big man and a legit nba shooting guard.
They need to flip love to a team that will keep him. Shit I'd take love. The Knicks have use for what he does.

In my experience, Youtube is a melting pot and attracts different people from many walks of life. It can be bad there but the worst, most concentrated racism I've seen, come from the AOLs and Yahoos of the world (excluding media that is overtly right-wing of course). Generally speaking, almost any service that feels the need to include "America" in the title produces some of the most ardent and vocal racists I've seen. But to be honest, I much rather people speak their mind than deal with some of the PC nonsense that we have to go through now. All it has managed to do is delude people into thinking these issues are over at a time when you have decision-makers that are clearly racist and are trying to restore "the good ol' days" (e.g. Rep. Steve King, Rudy Guliani, Steve Scalise).

What is working at McDonalds or some fast food venue going to accomplish? Because the reality is that people on welfare are on welfare because they lack tangible skills, some of which is attributed to institutionalized racism and the rest to classism. Add to the fact that our taxpayer dollars subsidize the outsourcing of jobs go other countries and you get the circumstances we are in now.
If you really want to fix the problem, the focus should be on creating resource centers where these people can acquire the skills necessary to be a productive member of the workforce. And while doing so, raise corporate taxes on those whose sales are driven by the American consumer but whose workforce exists abroad.
Lebron has vested way to much going back to ClE.
Blatt needs time.
The team is not playing at the level they are capable but few expected much more so early.
after 35 games a team should give up on the coach? I doubt it. They are paying Mike Brown for 4 years. They won't pay two coach's.
This situation in Cleveland has far more to do with management than anything Blatt is doing. I'm looking at that team and it is as poorly constructed as it could possibly be. They go significant stretches having to play LeBron/Marion at the 2, which is a surefire way to lose games due to a lack of floor spacing. And on top of that, there seems to be too much redundant talent in terms of skillset. Mike Miller, Joe Harris and James Jones? Shawn Marion and Tristan Thompson? Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters?
They'd greatly benefit from a little addition by subtraction. If I were them, I'd begin liquidating assets in exchange for as many picks and expirers as possible. Using whatever available cap space left with only LeBron, Love and Irving under contract, I'd do my best to acquire a capable (bargain basement) center (e.g. Kosta Kufos, Chris Andersen) and then use the picks in a trade for an additional rotation player or two. The rest of the roster I'd fill out with players in the Euro leagues and D-leagues, then hope for the best. In any case, the status quo isn't working and that just isn't Blatt's fault.
