^^^I think the reason his name has come up is because his deal becomes guaranteed on 1/10 and because teams are creating roster spots to sign guys to 10 day deals. Bargs and Sam have also been mentioned. My guess is Sam gets traded so I don't think he is a candidate to get waived. Not sure about Bargs but Wear is like any other 12th man with a contract that is about to become guaranteed.
If the FO are smart they will cut all the dead weight contracts that have zero future and replace them with Development guys. Give those guys time on the big stage to see if they are worth it. They must have a 2 yr contract that not guaranteed though. So they can be trade assets regardless if they workout or not.
Hopefully they sign Gallowy tomorrow and make a move to free up the roster space.
