Knicks · why amare needs to be flat out waived (page 1)

EnySpree @ 1/5/2015 3:20 PM
Because he currently can't play cuz of sore knees and is still commenting on the 11 game losing streak, calling it "mind boggling".

Dude if he wasn't breaking down we'd be a playoff team. It sucks that he is and he is hard working....but come on man. He needs to be sent home at the very least.

Next season we don't need a guy in the rotation that's going to need rest days. We not winning shit like that.

News flash buddy, this is the new NBA where players get rest days, every team is doing it thanks to greg pop and the spurs..

And why did you leave melo out who's expereincing the same problem

Knicks1969 @ 1/5/2015 3:27 PM
The entire front court needs to be waived. Amare, Dalembert, Jayson Smith, Bargnani. Please get them the frok outta here

Cuz this thread is not about Melo.

Amare should go to play with the spurs then. Winning teams cab give their players a rest. We have yet to establish winning so we don't have that luxury.

SwishAndDish13 @ 1/5/2015 3:29 PM
Amare is so annoying with his words of wisdom that he shares. They should really waive him just for that. Guy hasn't contributed in years, just shut your mouth and collect your paycheck. Days before this undisclosed rest period, he told everybody he was "feel good." Mentioning other players in this context is irrelevant. They're not commenting on others where they sit out and continue to add zero value to the team.
fishmike @ 1/5/2015 3:30 PM
I think if they still Knicks after the deadline Amare, Bargs and a couple others will be waived and touted as a class move by Phil allowing vets to join another team before the playoffs start. Something like that... now just isnt the time.

Eny... I get the feeling you dont like Amare

The white Smith brother is the worst. I would rather see a D Leaguer. Same goes for Wear.

Keep Wear around for now to see what he truly can do.

I would be surprised if he could do anything. He hasn't really demonstrated that, but at this point, I want to lose so makes sense keeping him around. He is the worst IMO.

Hahaha! I will never forget his 1 shinning moment. It has been a freefall since.

Is there any value to be had to us from any of these contracts? Stat, Bargs & Dalambert?

I'd like to think so, but I'm not sure.

If they don't, the advantage to jettisoning them now is the ability to sign some D League guys before other teams do, and give them a good look in the fire of live NBA game play.

I would also think if Phil were decisive and dumped some guys (thinking Bargs mainly here) and brought in an NBDL guy, it would send a message and might wake some guys u[.

With the amount of big men that are crumbling before they play there first full game, there on the shelf for a season or more, and were worried about amare.

Lets not even mention that every vet in the league is taking games off for rest. if amre said he was going to take a sht, there be a silly ass thread about trading him.

The one bright spot this season according to every analyst in the NBA, and all you can do is post stupid stuff. Who gives a rats ass about what Amare say's, weather he goes or stays, no one cares, thats the least of this franchise problems

Dude, seriously??????? Amare was and always will be garbage. For the money he was paid, that jackass is certainly not worthy.

mreinman @ 1/5/2015 4:22 PM
lets relax. We can't just go cut a bunch of veterans.

we will have a hard enough time trying to sell NY to FA's as it is.

BRIGGS @ 1/5/2015 4:27 PM
By far its Caldeon. PGs are supposed to make teams better. Since eh came back from"injury" we are 1-23. He takes up huge cap space the next 2 years. he needs to be waived as soon as season ends and S provisioned.

cutting them after the deadline and a few days before the playoff eligibility window would be the classy thing to do from the players POV. It didnt work out here, thanks for your effort, sorry this year sucked, know the Knicks org cares about you and your future and we wish you well.

Something like that

If we waive Calderon, don't he have to take the cap hit anyway?

Nalod @ 1/5/2015 4:45 PM
Beno is doing well on a good team.

He looked awful last year.

Im ok to quell my anger and blood thirst to let some things play out.
Sam could be waived so a team spending a 2nd round pick on him could prefer to wait it out than trade.

Market demand for Sam if not there then you waive an give a yoot a chance.
